I'm not sure but i think it might be a hot topic exclusive.

Went out and got some eagle shots last week. I figured this would be a great edit. :)

Images i use from my own photo files to create this in Photoshop for some tribute to 4th July

The Holy Water Font is a feature of many Irish households, particularly among the older generation. My mother is a woman of great faith. While on a short visit to her this weekend, I sought out some still life subjects that would tell a bit about her. One of the items that caught my attention was this holy water font, just inside the front door. I needed her presence too, as she is very much part of this story. This is the last thing she does each times she leaves.

Happy Valentine's Day x

Memorial Day is a US holiday, observed

every year on the last Monday of May.

It's a day when we remember our soldiers

who died during Military Service.

My son Brian leaves for Kuwait in a few hours where he's stationed in Guam. Just talked to him on the phone. God Bless You. I LOVE YOU.

This poor little dragonfly has part of his face knocked off (There's a hole in his upper lip through which you can see into his mouth!), one eye's pock-marked, and the impact, more than likely a mishap with a car since I found him barely alive in the street, even knocked most of the hair off of his face! I'm tried to nurse him back to health but he died after only a few days. You can read his complete story by clicking on the photo below.

THE AMERICAN FLAG, 2001

Designed and fabricated in Chicago by Khaim Pinkhasik (born 1940)

30” H x 40” W SM 626

The American Flag window honors the principles of American liberty and the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The American Flag is a symbol of freedom, justice and the rule of law. The September 11 attacks evoked a global response in support of these universal principles. The international scope of the tragedy was manifest, with citizens of dozens of countries being among the several thousand victims.

It is significant that The American Flag window was designed by a Russian who immigrated to the United States and became a U.S. citizen. Khaim Pinkhasik was born in Minsk, Russia in 1040 and emigrated to the United States in 1980 to pursue artistic freedom. Before coming to the United States, he received much acclaim in Russia for his state-sponsored mosaic portraits of Soviet leaders. Desiring more freedom for artistic expression, however, Pinkhasik came to the United States and settled in Chicago in 1982, where he currently lives with his wife Valentina.

From the Smith Stained glass museum in Chicago earlier this year (2007). Happy 4th of July Y'all!

Mom says I'm a blessing in her life. I don't really know what "blessing" means, but I hope it's something cute.
