Posting as my way of saying "I miss you" to a friend ;)

For a swap on Swapbot. This ATC had to contain something from nature. I chose a dried pansy sticker - it is a real pansy. I made a window in the front of the ATC and collaged the front with a few papers and a flower which was cut from a piece of scrapbook paper. I added some tiny beads in shade of purple. I then made the background behind the window from a piece of what I think is rice paper (it's actually two pieces of this paper, I only had a small scrap) which I colored with watercolor pencils and painted to blend. I put the sticker on the rice paper and glued the sticker/paper combo to the back of the collaged piece.

Stored on the GN Shield are six GN Sword Bits, of which there are 3 different types. The 2 A Bits are long bits which are usable as separate homing projectiles or as hand-held swords.The B Bits perform in the same manner, but can be optionally used as hand-held daggers and possess the ability to generate a beam saber. The C Bits are similar in function to the A Bits, but are half the size of the latter. They have hidden handles that enable them to function as hand-held swords. They also possess many attacking roles in Qan[T]'s arsenal such as attacking individually or forming up as a whole set with the GN Sword V to become either a buster rifle or a buster sword.

In addition to offense, the bits can also create a GN Field when positioned together in a circle and aid in the initiation of quantization without 00 Qan[T] needing to enter Trans-Am by grouping into a circular, portal-like formation. Through combining an A bit and a B bit, a sword can be formed. The sword bits are robust enough to withstand a few attacks, therefore it is possible that they can have Shield Bit capabilities.

With this ISO 100 photo from a Canon 40D the results are less obvious than with the ISO 800 photo from a 450D. 8 bit again is not enough with very obvious posterization artifacts. 9 bits gets very close to the quality of the 14 bit version but I think there is still a small difference which pretty much disappears in the 10 bit file.

The user interface of the Rawnalyze program is rather annoying. The program gives no indication if it accepted my command to reduce the bit depth. So it often leaves me guessing if the program actually did the intended treatment.

Today’s been a bit of a disaster on the photo front – everything’s out of focus, or over-whelmed by the flash. My fall-back idea – my cats – vanished through the cat-flap as soon as I got the camera out... so it’s just going to have to be part of one of my bookshelves.
