Chrome has a few new bags hitting the streets right now. Their new rolltops the Yalta and the Brigadier are looking nice with a weather resistant outer shell and a slightly slimmer design than their other rollies. If your're not really looking for something so versatile theres the Classic Messenger that small and simple. Ive had a couple chrome bags over the past couple years and have never had any issues with them!

Bit.fall, by German artist Julius Popp, is a two-story pulsing waterfall of 128 computer-controlled nozzles that briefly drip a display of words streamed from real-time Google searches.

A well irrigated bit of the Arrous valley with most of the Jebel Mgoun ridge visible. From this angle it is easy to see which is the true summit.

More experiments before actually starting to take images for the day on testing day, playing with focal planes in-camera and nostalgic look for the post processing. Its a bit of fun as Neil prepped the car for scrutineering to be done.

You can make your own (nut free) toffee really simply! It's fast too - it takes longer to wash up!

Bit of a blast from the past at Preston as former West Coast Main Line regular 86259 "Les Ross" rolls in with the returning "Cathedrals Express" which also been hauled with Class 7MT "Brittania" too on the Northern section. It annoys me somewhat that they cannot leave original names on locomotives if they did that with steam there would be an outcry! As far as I,m concerned this locomotive is called "PETER PAN" a name that familiar to almost anyone!!

The seats inside 377 were removed before sale from TransAdelaide. However, some seats were still inside the tram in pieces and the owner hopes to put them back together and use them inside the tram perhaps in conjunction with a table of sorts...

Scenes from the Flea market. I always enjoy going to those, to find new things and watch others doing the same

Long overdue, here is the first roll out from my new Contax G1 with the 35/2. I really love this camera, more than I would have ever guessed. I never wanted a autofocus compact, and yet here we are.

Emerging from the forest is the typical architecture of Helen, Georgia, of which Füssen, Bavaria, Germany, is its sister city.

A bit of street photography in The Byward Market, Ottawa. Fuji Xpro2 shot in jpeg b&w mode. I used a few different lenses. It was a blast!

Heron Gibran is a bit of an enigma. A true renaissance man. It hardly seems fair to call him a rapper. The word isn’t large enough. Does not encapsulate him. If you talked to him for more than five minutes about hip-hip, the state of affairs in the music industry, politics, religion, whatever…you’d understand. Rapper does not do him justice.

While he considers himself a Washingtonian, Heron was actually born in the Bronx, New York. Around the same time he was born, a new street culture was emerging. As he grew, hip-hop grew. As hip-hop expanded, traveled, became more sophisticated, international…so did he. Lately, he has been working closely with long-time friend and colleague, Asheru (creator of the Boondocks theme song). Together they have performed all over the nation’s capital. Along with producer/emcee Aychell, they formed the hip-hop super-group, Black Lincolns, and released the breakthrough single “The Hustle”. Heron has also contributed music to the forthcoming Boondocks soundtrack.

Over the years he has released several solo projects, the most recent being The Amnezia Haze EP. This underground classic gem is an eclectic collection of tracks, some of which were recorded overseas in Amsterdam. It also features “By Any Means” and “Dance With Me”, both produced by DJ Khalil of California’s Self-Scientific, who has also produced for The Game and Jay-Z. So…between globe-trotting and helping to vitalize the DC hip hop scene and teaching graphic design to inner-city children with special needs, Heron Gibran simply defies categorization. He is anomaly in a musical landscape where simplicity rules. But he’s creating his own rules, and making coverts one handful at a time along the way.

Stopped at Gordon station prior to returning to Hornsby.

Parsnip plays a down and out character for this one..

When I return to the room foam soap dispensers have been installed - one next the basin (as pictured) and another in the shower.

But what is this left on the shelf?

Ahh! A free gift from the installers! A broken drill bit (and their rubbish left on the floor! Thanks chaps!

Still, beats a small of soap I suppose.

No expense spared on hotel lodging for this years trade exhibtion... Travelodge London Excel. We even paid in advance months ago. £45 per room per night. Not bad for London prices.

Branded simply as Travelodge, it is the second largest in the budget hotel sector (behind Premier Inn) and third biggest hotel chain in the UK by number of bedrooms (31,600 at the end of 2010).

Getting Started On Your Oric was a book released in 1983 by Futura Publications and written by Tim Hartnell and Peter Shaw. It was designed to introduce the user to the Oric and its BASIC with example programs and descriptions. Such books were popular at the time and while lacking in in-depth detail, provided an alternative, more relaxed and friendlier learning environment than most standard manuals. This book was part of a series of similarly titled books for a range of other popular UK 8-bit computers of the time.

My grandniece was a bit shy and wary of the camera at first. She wouldn't stay still, so this shot is not in focus, but it created a soft look that I think looks nice in B&W.
