My simple-circuit brain-rehabilitation continues. I had this enclosure from a pedal that I was never able to make work. I also had a "Bacon Bits" booster PCB that Madbean had comped me at some point in a little "Bonus Bag" that came with an order. It's a (mostly) clean boost with a "Warm" switch that rolls off some highs. There's a ton of boost in there, if that's a handy thing for you. At the very boost-iest it seems to start getting a little gritty, but that could be my amp input screaming in pain.
BTW, this brain-rehab thing is kind of familiar. I had Scarlet Fever when I was 8. I'd been a thing my mom in particular liked to show off. Skipping grades and being on television and she'd have me do all kinds of precocious things like doing her banking for her. Then I got this fever on a Friday and my pediatrician said it was the flu and sent me home with grape cough syrup. An old Army doctor the family knew packed me in ice Sunday night and gave me a bunch of expired penicillin (he didn't practice anymore). It apparently saved my life, but Monday morning my hearing and vision were shot and I couldn't speak in complete sentences anymore. I'd tested into an experimental educational facility and that didn't last much longer.
Anyway, forcing my brain to work right again (kind of, sort of) felt a lot like this. Take things slow and do what I can do until I can do more.
BTW, my voice started changing around the same time. Suddenly I was blind, deaf and the kid from all-county chorus couldn't sing anymore. That was a crappy year.
Anyway, it's kind of a cool pedal.
Bit of a late capture today. I can't believe I did two trips to the Royal Mail sorting office and didn't photograph either of them!
Here instead we've got the rather pretty tree outside Fazakerley Hospital. Great lights. :)

King Cages; a bit more expensive than the Planet Bike SS cages, but not laughably so.
(The rest of the bicycle is more mixed; the frame, fork, bag, and wheels were built in Cascadia; the rest of it, including some of the parts I used to assemble the wheels & frame, aside from the pedals & pump(France), saddle (Italy), bashguard (USA), and lights (Germany), are from various Asian industrial states.)

A bit of B&W from another long exposure the other morning. It's always pretty interesting using the NDX400 as you have to manually focus and peer through the viewfinder which is essentially black.. it also makes realigning the grad ND filter for the horizon a bit of guess work when you recompose. I'm thinking on the nerds really appreciate that lot - but I thought I'd share for there may be one or two of you out there ;-)
P.S. love your thoughts on which of these two images you prefer - the coloured one or the B&W?

I took this JUST as he was moving back from it, and expected a blur of 8-bit flavour motion, but instead caught him in a rather precise pursed-lip pose.

My body hurts.
My head hurts.
My eyes hurt.
Recovering from a disease is difficult here.
No intimacy...
No "I don't go to work today and I snuggle in my bed after a long warm shower"
No place to rest a little... no time to rest a little.
We just can't. And we just can't complain.
We just have no right for this.
Our only right here is to try our best.
Noone can afford anything else.
My body hurts, in this car.
My head hurts, on the way to the building I need to assess.
My eyes hurt - and I scrunch my eyelids, leaning my head on the headrest.
They still burn - and I scrunch my eyelids tighter.
I open my eyes.
A kid is laying on the road side, corpse and bicycle entangled.
I scrunch my eyelids tight.
The motor noise is digging inside my head like a pneumatic driller.
The road is still climbing up.
I open my eyes.
A crowd is gathering around a woman, laying face down on the road.
I scrunch my eyelids tight. And tighter.
Some mornings are harsher than the others.
But noone here can afford anything else than going on.
Trying our best.
The Canon did such a pisspoor job of capturing this I had to edit it into something. The bits and bobs of diving.
