On April 26, 1986, the greatest environmental catastrophe in history occurred at Chernobyl spreading a radioactive cloud over large parts of the former Soviet Union. In Chernobyl Legacy, Magnum photographer Paul Fusco recounts the human aftermath of the tragedy.
This is a family, non-violent March against chemical contamination and GMOs across our planet earth. People of the earth are gathering in solidarity, on a mission to raise awareness about lab-created genetically modified organisms (GMOs) within the food supply.
The march was dedicated to empower citizens of the world to take action against Monsanto & it's enablers like the FDA, USDA, EPA, GMA, BIO, and the processed food companies that use Monsanto's products.

My daughter was born with her right foot looking like this when she was born nearly seven years ago. I'll post some recent feet photos soon for you all. (These aren't her feet -- these were grabbed from the web).
If you want something to Google for in the meantime, she was treated via the Ponseti Method by The Man himself, Dr. Ignacio Ponseti in at the University of Iowa. I've also met some of the other practitioners of the Ponseti Method at an orthopedic conference, including Dr Shafique Pirani and Dr John Herzenberg. All three of these physicians are absolutely wonderful men.

Pregnancy, or the desire to become pregnant, often inspires women to take better care of them — quitting smoking, caffeine for example, or eating more nutritiously. But now many women face an increasingly common problem: obesity, which affects 36 percent of women of childbearing age.
Alexander, a co-ordinator for the charity Handicap International, talks to Daphne, aged 8, at a Handicap International 'antenna' clinic, funded by UKaid from the Department for International Development, in Petit-Goave, Haiti.
Daphne was born with a severely disfigured left arm and right leg, but had received little medical support whilst growing up, due to a lack of access to healthcare and stigma surrounding disability in Haitian society. Since being referred to Handicap International following the earthquake in January 2010, Daphne is now receiving pyscho-social support from HI. The NGO is also looking into whether there are any options for her to have corrective surgery.

Perhaps Volunteers of America can find a local HVAC company willing to help this poor bank out with an air duct cleaning.

Stéphane Bouillet travelled to Bhopal in 2009 and shot extensively at the Sambhavna Clinic, the Chingari Trust Rehabilitation Centre, in and around the disaster survivors' communities and at the abandoned Union carbide Factory.
Under the auspices of his own organisation Remedact, Stéphane curated a book and an exhibition using his photographs alongside two others: Micha Patault and Kostas Pliakos. In the run-up to the disaster’s 25th anniversary in 2009 Stéphane managed a 30-day Twitter campaign which is believed to be the first organised social media campaign in support of the Bhopal survivors.

On the eve of the 32nd anniversary of the Bhopal Disaster children from the Chingari Trust Rehabilitation Centre held a candlelight vigil in honour of the many thousands who have now lost their lives thanks to Union Carbide’s doomed pesticide factory.
The children sat, some of them holding candle but some not able, around a flower display simply spelling ‘commiserations’
The children at Chingari are all second or third generation sufferers of the effects of Union carbide’s poisons. Some are born to parents affected by the gas of the 1984 disaster, others are born to parents affected by water contaminated by poisonous chemicals leaching from abandoned toxic waste. As if to add hideous, painful insult to injury, some children are born to parents exposed to both the toxic gas and the contaminated water.
