Coming in a little to fast

Notice the goldfinch near the top who is screeching at the incoming junco.

It wasn't low enough to get a good shot. I had to crop it quite a bit.

Kite was hovering for 10-15 seconds at Baylands looking for prey. It repeated this behavior over and over again. I circled from behind the bird to this position and was fortunate that the bird was still there.

I really had a hard time predicting where a cardinal would go. They didn't seem to have a habitual landing spot like some of the other birds.

I shot this way underexposed and was lucky to pull some details back in post. I was not expecting the harrier to show up, but I caught a series of shots as it flew overhead.

I like this shot for the golden light shining through the feathers and the high contrast of the color pattern on the underside of the hawk.

I often go to Montrose Harbor to enjoy some moments of solitude and take photos of the ever changing backdrop.

Usually, the lake would be frozen over this time of year, but instead, the recently liquified water took on a glossy and slow moving quality.
