I never understood birdwatchers. I didn't find any beauty in it, nor fun. But in South Africa, we saw such beauties soaring the skies that we fell instantly in love with the activity known as Birdwatching
These little birds are so tiny they are quite hard to spot amongst the shingle. This one came quite close before displaying to the males. It is best viewed large.
I have had these for probably 25 years and never used them so much since lockdown, watching birds in the back yard. Couldn't believe the variety we actually get.
