Sunrise in South Africa. I almost missed this one as I drove back down the mountain and it was only that I was stuck behind a logging truck going very slowly down the winding roads that looked to my right. This is what I saw.

I jumped out of the car, grabbed the tripod, filters, spirit level, camera and all sorts of other stupid stuff and ran over the road. By the time I had fitted the filter I thought f**k the rest of this stuff let's just get some shots off before the sun goes away (way too much technology) :-) hence this one is hand held but at least I didn't miss it :-)

Shot hand held, using a Canon 24-105 L and ND8 neutral density graduated filter

HGGT all, welcome to my Golden Garden ! :-)

When Benni and I go to historic Los Rios, only 15 minutes down the freeway, it's like going to another world. And in that other world is this gate that leads even further and to a place where we're not invited.

Anyone can get chronic fatigue syndrome, it occurs among all ethnic and racial groups, and at all income levels— but women are 4 times more likely than men to have it.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is not known. There are various theories but none has been proved.

A popular theory is that a viral infection may trigger the condition.

I can feel the waves,

rolling on the shore.

I can feel the sand,

trickling down my back.

I can feel the sun,

burning my bright skin.

I can feel the wind,

blowing through my hair.

I can feel the freedom of a new day.

I can feel yesterday dripping away.

everything is like sand beneath my feet.

everything is like wind passing me by.

finally I have all the freedom I need.

finally I have cried my last feeble cry.

I'm slowly taking flight,

leaving everything behind.

I'm trading day for night,

leaving everything behind.

I'm soaring into the sky,

leaving everything behind.

I'm floating beyond the world,

leaving everything behind.

I originally just saw this in two halves, left and right. I also thought it was rather commonplace picture from a dull and fruitless outing so left it a while. It now occurs to me that it’s got more layers. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Canon and Affinity Photo, it still may well be commonplace but it’s better than it was. And it will have to do until I get my backside in gear again…

This is something a lot different than the other stuff I normally do with photography, I guess I like conceptual and actually I liked how this one turned out.

Hope you enjoy it :)

By far the most amazing trip down the mountain from Logan Pass I've ever witnessed. Everything went ballistic in the matter of moments on our way down the mountain... thunder, lightning, sun beams, sheets of rain, and people (myself included) just stopping in the middle of the road to snap shots.

Sorry it took me so long to get this one up mom, I'll send you one of these just tell me what size. Happy birthday again!!!

Love you.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my stuff friends it is much appreciated, I'll be catching up with you all soon.

What a horrible day we had yesterday - it was windy and oh so cold! I managed to golf but we turned back at the 11th hole absolutely frozen to the core!!

Journey Beyond, the owners of the Indian Pacific, Ghan and Overland purchased the Vintage Rail Journeys brand last year and have transformed a number of Southern Aurora cars to start a new Rail Cruising business in the Eastern States, predominantly NSW. LVR and associated locomotives are to be used, with 42101 and 4204 earmarked as the mainstays. 4204 is currently undergoing reactivation works, with the venerably 47's filling in for the first tour to the Riverina which departed Sydney on 20 April 2025.

SL03 to Goulburn is seen here at Yanderra. This 5 day trip provides for off train accommodation given the shorter journeys and more flexible timetable provided on this rail cruise.

I caught this touching scene during lunch. Normally Miles' ears stand straight up, ut I like how he laid them town to accommodate Nita Jane's loving kiss.
