Fried "calzoncelli" are typical xmas sweets where I live.
They are filled with a cream of chocolate, chestnuts, nuts and a bit of coffee.
Some people use pears(!) instead of chestnuts.
Someone else uses also candied fruits inside.
Some people put some sugar on the top.
Someone else puts sprinkles and honey on the top.
Each family has its own recipe: they are a continuous surprise!!! ;-)

I wish all my Flickr friends a merry and blessed Christmas. I also want to thank you for the interest in my pictures and the many comments and asterisks.
This is the small glass candle holder filled with shiny paper stars, which we have on the kitchen table. Two of these stars were very curious and wanted to be included in the picture.

Das ist der kleine glĂ€serne KerzenstĂ€nder, der mit glĂ€nzenden Papiersternchen gefĂŒllt ist und bei uns auf dem KĂŒchentisch steht. Zwei dieser Sternchen waren sehr neugierig und wollten unbedingt mit aufs Bild.
The beauty of all Christmas decoration, the large amounts of "relaxed symmetry" of numerous Christmas trees... may be they help bringing joy and comfort these days? I choose green because green is the colour of hope and we need hope for 2020... big time :-)

I love Christmas crackers! It's just not Christmas dinner without them. I chose them for this theme because I associate them with all that's best about the holidays: friends & family, laughter, good food, wine and holiday decorations.

HMM... the theme for today, 12/23, is "Best with Holidays isâŠ" translucent butterflies (ornament)...
i had the glass dove in the group pool at first (see first comment box), but got thinking that it might not be under 3 inches and when i double checked it was a little over. this one is definitely under.
Every year before Christmas we visit the Christmas Tree Farm, select our tree and bring it home to decorate. We have decorations from most of the places around the world we have been fortunate enough to visit. We also have decorations made by the children in Kindergarten and Primary School.

.. getting my Christmas tree ornaments out. I love the little bears. The one on the right is in good shape, hasn't overeaten or drunk too much and did not fall over. The one on the left on the other hand....
As they sit, just under 3 inches in height. Used tissue paper for background, I thought it looked like old fashioned wallpaper.

- This is a small part of a styrofoam ball, hand decorated with mini parcels, red balls, glittering stuff and a single fir cone.
- During the holidays the ball is hanging from a nail in the wall with a red ribbon.
