Via #1 rounding the bends into Swan Landing. We were spotted by the crew again and instead of just a wave we got a few toots of the horns. And look - no snow!
Hairpin bends across our local Moors. I keep looking for and trying "top down" shots but can't quite seem to pull them off. This is an alternative route home for me in winter snow but even riskier than the main road. There are many signs advising people to avoid the route in icy conditions. I've had a few scary drives across here. The red and blue cars are on steep inclines.

Tell me one more time you like the shoes I wear. Tell me as you leave you really couldn't care. I bought all the drinks and I paid for your friends. Jesus can't you see I'm goin round the bend?
And who are my real friends
Have they all got the bends
Am I really sinking?

I took this at the National Portrait gallery in London.
During mating, the male Damselfly clasps the female by her neck while she bends her body around to his reproductive organs – this is called a mating wheel.
I already updated my giant a bit, here's a height comparison.
Yes, even giants are in the Christmas mood.
Knockalla, Fanad, Portsalon, Donegal, Ireland
I’ve always found this bendy road fascinating! how it winds its way down this hillside, like a giant snake about to slither back into the sea 🐍 Beautifully seated on the western shore of Lough Swilly, this amazing location yields spectacular views over Ballymastocker Bay & Portsalon in the distance. By far this place has one of the most stunning views to be found throughout Ireland.
A few years ago this very beach was voted second place as the most beautiful beach of the world! Merely missing 1st place to a paradise island beach on the Seychelles. Not too shabby for a beach on the corner of Donegal

Looking marvelous as it snakes through the curves within the Cullerin Ranges on the Main South, SCT004 leads sisters SCT007 and SCT006 on the first run of 7MB9.
Playing with light, standing entwined with autumn trees; catching backlit leaves dancing on the wind. Intentional blur, not caring if focus is less than perfect, the goal is color. Autumn's colors - vivid oranges, yellows, golds, and deep reds. Splashes of sunlight breaking in unexpected areas, flickers and flashes of the raw physical properties of light, bends, curves, and refractions beyond my education. It's all exuberance and fun. Come play, enjoy the freedom.Vintage Helios 44.3 58mm with a reverse lens macro attachment
Last light of the day at Smith Rock State Park in Central Oregon. About 1/2 hour down the road, sunset photography was followed by a visit to Crux Fermentation Project (a nice cool vibe craft brewery just off Highway 97 in Bend, Oregon).
Having arrived on the Island of Skye at Armadale I thought I would drive out as far as the road end for the walk to the point of Sleat. As you can see the road had just been tarred but it is narrow and twisty with sharp bends and goes away into the distance. It was amazing to be on Skye and I was looking forward to the run through Sleat and into Broadford. If you view large you will also see the Island of Eigg it seems so close.
HFF! Aella bends down to pick up a stick that she can use in her play, while grasping a handful of rocks in her other hand.
Childhood is such a precious time, the imagination just soars and anything is possible. Taken yesterday, on a sunny but cold day. Thanks for your visit and stay blesssed.
Easily one of the most breathtaking views anywhere in Ireland - Looking down on St.Marys - Lagg Chapel (Ireland's second most northerly Catholic church) - and the Five Finger Strand, from Knockamany Bends, Donegal.

Remotorised Sergei of Debrecen pulling 29 scrap metal loaded open wagons near Nyíradony.
This is the same train running from the scrapyard of Mátészalka which I already posted a picture of. Back then, due track works on Line 110 Záhony served this freight train with classic M62s, but unlike them, Debrecen only has these modernised Caterpillar engined units now.
The road in the foreground bears number 471, it also runs up to Mátészalka, connecting it with the county seat. You can also see a bit of old road closer to the rails: around 2018 road 471 got a major overhaul, with many corrections easing the tighter corners.
