5MHz being a single step, I had tried this before I got the RAM and it was stable, so I skipped that, and took the FSB to 210MHz. While the score is still rubbish, you can see a marked increase on both the CPU score, and the total.

2x 512MB DDR (333MHz) PC2700
I have since learnt that I have the wrong RAM. 333MHz is the effective clock speed, and being Double Data Rate, its' actual speed is 166MHz. That is 34MHz slower than the FSB at stock speeds! Which means it's overclocked before I start. No wonder I have had stability issues. I'll buy a 1GB stick of appropriate RAM and go from there.
