View Benchmark is a prominent peak on the Traverse Ridge, below Lone Peak. Though it's low altitude and an easy summit most of the year, walking through thick snow in early February was an adventure.

A great place to relax

Kissamos, Crete

A lovely spot to enjoy the sun!

Another sunset. The bench with view is quite appropriate as I'm off this week with the family to the Lake District.

Empty benches in the midday sun at Varberg, Sweden.

I believe this might be the same bench from my previous shot, benchmark. I said I'd come back to it, and I did- this time the leaves were orange instead of green.

At the Helen Nisbet - Roberts Pollinator Preserve. I like the symmetry of these trees, with a thoughtfully placed bench between them. This is the open area of the preserve that will be managed with flowering plants favored by pollinators. With a southern exposure allowing ample sunlight it is ideal for that purpose.
