A la platja del poblet de Garraf es conserven unes precioses casetes de platja de principis del segle XX, totes de molts estils diversos, però compartint colors verd i blanc.

In the beach by the village of Garraf, there's a unique group of beach huts built in the early XX Century, and now preserved. Despite having different shapes all share the same palette of white and dark green.

Below the clouds , that do shine

Patterns down on natures wine

Filling up the wide , wide lake

Where we lie and we make

Love under the clouds sweet gaze

Warming the Winter days

With our passion, our desire

That does rise, higher , higher

Until its kisses the clouds above

That cover us with tender love

A cloudy dramatic day. Photo taken at the top of the Willis tower Chicago

The St. Vrain Creek is running strongly down it's canyon. Enjoyed the day!

Fairly large flycatcher, dark gray above and clean white below with blacker head. Look for white tail tip. Name is somewhat misleading; it does occur over most of eastern North America but also reaches as far west as British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon. Fairly common and conspicuous; perches out in the open, often on tall trees, snags, fences, and utility lines. Watches for large insects and makes quick flights to snatch them. Listen for metallic twittering calls. Winters in lowlands of South America.

Below the small village of Las Tricias in the northwest of La Palma, you will walk past a rare dragon tree grove with several ancient dragon trees. With the permission of the friendly man from Argentina, I was allowed to take several pictures from his property. The photo above is composed of 7 vertical shots.

The additional image title "home of dragons" is ambiguous. Somewhat above this place lives a German-born female person of younger age, who asked us to go further during a lunch break on the edge of a public road. She screamed loudly, the "sh..-tourists" would annoy her all day and make noise. Honestly, I was once again ashamed for us German abroad.

Storm clouds move in as we are crossing the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston SC. The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, connecting downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. The eight lane bridge satisfied the capacity of U.S. Route 17 when it opened in 2005 to replace two obsolete cantilever truss bridges. The bridge has a main span of 1,546 feet (471 m), the third longest among cable-stayed bridges in the Western Hemisphere. It was built using the design-build method and was designed by Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Leucojum aestivum is a perennial bulbous plant, generally 35–60 cm tall, but some forms reach 90 cm. Its leaves, which are well developed at the time of flowering, are strap-shaped, 5–20 mm wide, reaching to about the same height as the flowers. The flowering stem (scape) is hollow and has wings with translucent margins. The pendant flowers appear in late spring and are borne in umbels of usually three to five, sometimes as many as seven. The flower stalks (pedicels are of different lengths, 25–70 mm long. The flowers are about 3–4 cm in diameter and have six white tepals, each with a greenish mark just below the tip. The black seeds are 5–7 mm long.

After flowering, the fruits develop flotation chambers but remain attached to the stem. In England, it has been recorded that flooding causes the stems to break and the fruits to be carried downstream and stranded in river debris or on flood-plains. The bulbs can also be transported during heavy floods and deposited on river banks. (Wikipedia)

A scene I was lucky to capture as a seagull passes across a duck drifting on the waterline. The duck seems oblivious of the seagull in flight. There was a golden sun hue on the waterline with some warm light shining gently in the dusk sky and illuminating the majestic seagull and the duck in the water.

A crisp morning walk along the shores of Loch Lomond Scotland allowed me to capture this shot of Scotlands most Southern Munroe (a mountain over 3000 feet high) Ben Lomond and its reflection on the loch below.

This looked stunning at the time, hopefully I've captured this.

Kind of cool to see the two "tiny" ships coming up from the horizon

Red-Bellied Woodpecker (male).

10 inches in length. Barred black and white above, pale buff below and on face. Sexes similar except that male has red crown and nape while female has red nape only. Reddish patch on lower abdomen seldom visible in the field.

Its habitat includes open and swampy woodlands. It also comes into parks during migration and feeders in winter.

It breeds from South Dakota, Great Lakes and southern New England south to the Gulf Coast and Florida. Northern most birds sometimes migrate south for the winter.
