On the elliptic southern ramp of the Arnulfsteg bridge. The Arnulfsteg is a new pedestrians bridge, crossing the railway tracks that lead to the central train station.
Here is the same ramp from below.

A blade of grass said to a leaf in autumn:
"You make so much noise when you fall,
you disturb my winter dreams."
The leaf replied indignantly:
"You were born on the ground and you live on the ground!
You little, grouchy, dumb thing!
You don't live in the higher spheres
and yet you have no idea of music."
Then the autumn leaf lay down on the ground and fell asleep.
And when spring came, it awoke - and it was now a blade of grass.
And when autumn came and the time for hibernation approached
and the autumn leaves fell in the air,
it murmured: "Oh, these autumn leaves!
They make so much noise!
They disturb my winter dreams."
Khalil Gibran

This shot was taken from pretty much the same location and at the same time as the last image I posted but this was at 70mm rather than 24mm to capture the details of the light and shadow across the North Lees Estate below Stanage Edge.

The Damrak houses first introduced me to the Dutch word gezellig (meaning cozy or homely) I was always wandering in from the train station after dark and I would constantly stop and stare at these houses thinking it felt like an incandescent oasis in a city of fluorescents, warming the night and the Damrak with its soft glow.
When you walk by during the day usually things are shut tight against the throngs of tourists walking back and forth from the central station but at night when the crowds have dissipated the curtains open and the world seems to be welcome to become a witness to the nocturnal activities of the residents.
The Damrak historically was originally part of the Amstel river below the Dam that gave Amsterdam its name, Rak means a straight stretch or place to gain speed, so the Damrak was actually the straight piece of river below the Dam across the Amstel where sailors would pick up some speed on their home stretch to the port of Amsterdam.
I took this on Sept 10th, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens at 44mm 25 sec f/11 ISO100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , Luminar and DXO

I've stood at the base of several waterfalls, and behind the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls, and at the top of waterfalls, but never so far above waterfalls.

A few minutes after the sun cleared the mountains, the dunes lit up with yellow and orange light. This sand basin below High Dune still have some early morning shadows and texture from the wind.
This image was taken on a rainy morning on our way to Jovik, a village located east of Tromso.

This was a quick capture when out walking with the family. I couldn't let the light pass by without being captured.
I tried something a bit different with this photo. It's a hand blended 3 exposure HDR. Rather than let Lightroom do it for me, I chose to blend the photo using a series of masks in Photoshop. I wasn't happy with the colours, so B&W was an easy choice. Rather than using the standard, high contrast B&W, I lifted the black-point to about 20 to get a nice vintage film look.
I took this shot at Burrard Station in Downtown Vancouver.
