It is quite hard to get a close shots of the seagull. Before when ever I approached to them, they would fly away immediately. For this little guy, he actually didn't move at all until I got all the shots I want.
Thank-you my friend!

" Oh please, just another fifteen minutes," the imaginary debate rages on inside my head as I lay in the warmth of my sleeping bag. Outside it is cool, moist and early. After all I'm just getting sooo comfortable. My tent mate ensured a restless sleep with his saw-like snoring - but its "magic time" and I know we have to get up.
Early morning light has that etheral quality that turns ordinary places into fascinating works of art. Our camp is in the heart of the Boise Valley - one of the most wild and pristine, intact temperate rainforests in the Lower Mainland of BC. To miss this opportunity would be nothing short of sacreligous for forest freaks like us. We get up,adjust our eyeballs, make some java, and slowly go through our morning rituals.
The Boise is one of those fairy tale forests you imagined as a child. Thousand year old cedar sentinels stretch toward the heavens, wild looking mushrooms and fungi carpet the forest floor and your closest neighbor is a bear. This is no drive-through-old-growth-forest-trap. The place has a timeless feel to it, an aura that brings a sense of awe to those fortunate enough to visit. We grab our cameras and we're off.

The Origin of Jack-O-Lantern
A will-o'-the-wisp or ignis fatuus (Medieval Latin: "foolish fire") are atmospheric ghost lights seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travellers from the safe paths. The phenomenon is known by a variety of names, including jack-o'-lantern, hinkypunk, and hobby lantern in English folk belief, well attested in English folklore and in much of European folklore. ~Wikipedia

Taking it easy with the green run down for the final run of the day. My need for speed was fulfilled and the mountains looked beautiful. Sometimes the easiest way down is the most fun.

This is one of the few old barn here in Cloverdale, it has served its purpose and still standing strong. It serves as a stable for many horses cared for by an old couple Don & Viola. They would wake up at dawn to take them out on the field, feed them and the horses are free to roam around the big farm. Inside was once filmed by Disney for a movie. The sunset from above holds a lot of interest to watch.
