Tried for a painting type look on this one. The whole area was so serene and reminded me of jigsaw puzzles I'd done as a child.
Our next stop was the Fisgard Lighthouse which is only couple minutes drive from Hatley Castle. I was planning to come here for the sunset but our schedule was too tight that coming back at sunset would not be ideal. This lighthouse is connected to Fort Rodd Hill which a very cheap entrance fee.
At the beginning, I was told that I could go into the lighthouse. I was so excited at first but I realized that they blocked half way through so you could only go into the red part of the lighthouse, not the top of it. Even though I was a bit disappointed but the view here is amazing :)

The Lions Gate Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Vancouver. It is also one of the major bridges that is heavily used everyday. In comparison to many bridges in Vancouver, it is probably the prettiest with all these lights at night.
When I finished taking photos on Cypress Mountain, I decided to make a stop near the Lions Gate Bridge and get a closer look. Damn! it is very pretty...this shot is edited through Capture One Pro 12. I think one of the advantages with Capture One is that you can pull a little bit more details...which is good for Fujifilm RAW files :)

Whenever the ship get closed to an island throughout the ferry trip to Victoria, I always think of what life is if you live on one of the islands.
I guess it will be a whole new experience as you can get closer to the nature and pretty much stay away from the noisy city side. I always think that it is one of the best experiences during a holiday when you live in a city for too long. You will get some quietness that you always dream of :)

Looking back at some long shots I took previously (to estimate what lens to bring for an other photo I want to make, so stay tuned!), I realized I forgot to upload this one from when Vancouver was all foggy. I hope you like it!

Very easy to distinguish from most other whales by his dorsal fin which has some notches that look like a saw blade. Whales are usually identified by their unique markings and the size and shape of their dorsal fin.
It was amazing how far and fast this whale traveled while we were out on the water. These whales are always in search of their prey, constantly on the move to maintain their stealthy way of hunting and can easily travel over 100km a day.
Last of the whale images for a bit - taking my lap top in for repair - will return soon with more images - who knows where I will get to or what I will find 😊

Many artists are showing their support of front line workers and love of the City by painting/drawing on the wooden board that cover the shops which are currently temporary closed due to COVID-19.
Throughout my walk, I saw quite a lot of good ones. It is something that makes the city a bit more colorful and joyful at the moment :)

Don negotiates a section of the BC West Coast Trail. A beautiful and rugged area of Vancouver Island. A trail built to aid ship wreck survivors.
