With tribute to Fibonacci...

The view from Table Rock a few days ago brought back old and tangled memories of triangles. This is a perfectly straight, mile-long trail on top of a perfectly level mesa along the Rogue River. The mesa sits 800 feet above the river and valley floor and was created with lava from the eruption of Mount Mazama over 7,000 years ago. At the center of that eruption about 50 miles away now sits Crater Lake National Park. This is an easy day hike with lots of lizards along the way.
