Blue beauty.

Have a great blue Monday!

This beauty landed in one of my oak trees, one that happens to be right in my backyard and he perched about eye level with me. I was up on my back deck.

I got quite a few shots of him and waited a long time hoping he'd take off, but he outlasted me. I think he's still out there.

A short walk off the road takes you to this beautiful waterfall: and if you’re really lucky, you get a sunset (I heard it doesn’t show that often here). Go there, enjoy, and take in the sound of crashing waves.

I caught the afternoon sun shining through this Tulip Poplar leaf and thought it was such a lovely glow. Hope you like it!!

No wonder Ireland is so green with all the rain it gets!!

The bees are very scarce this year compared to last year so I was thrilled when I saw this one.

Best viewed large. If you look closely, you can see the sun, sky and tree reflections in his wing joint and eye.

Beautiful side light from the rising sun bathing the surface of the water as I was capturing a wave coming from two directions whilst intentionally moving the camera.

Bergen's first buildings were erected along the old Hanseatic wharf, Bryggen. It includes the old harbour buildings and it is one of the best known medieval city settlements in Norway.

The roses (from Latin pink) are the planting plants of the Rosaceae family. The genus encompasses between 100 and 250 species.

Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico. The stems are leafy, ranging in height from as low as 30 cm to more than 1.8–2.4 m. The majority of species do not produce scented flowers. Like most plants that do not attract pollinating insects through scent, they are brightly colored, displaying most hues, with the exception of blue. The dahlia was declared the national flower of Mexico in 1963. Dahlias are perennial plants with tuberous roots, though they are grown as annuals in some regions with cold winters. While some have herbaceous stems, others have stems which lignify in the absence of secondary tissue and resprout following winter dormancy, allowing further seasons of growth. As a member of the Asteraceae, the dahlia has a flower head that is actually a composite (hence the older name Compositae) with both central disc florets and surrounding ray florets. 32250

Another look at this beautiful chapel ceiling. As the sun and clouds play above the stained glass the light and colors change, adding a presence to the space.
