Sometimes spare of the minute decisions, work out well. We decided last minute to have a few days up in my Ancestral Scotland. St Abbs Lighthouse has been on my to do list for a long time. Hadn't quite bargained for the road leading to the lighthouse though. Been really nervous since my car accident a few years back and believe me the fear I overcame to get there was repaid with this stunning sunrise.
Don't forget that maybe.............
you are the lighthouse in someones storm.
Thanks Calum for your help and inspiration :)

Have a great blue Monday!
This beauty landed in one of my oak trees, one that happens to be right in my backyard and he perched about eye level with me. I was up on my back deck.
I got quite a few shots of him and waited a long time hoping he'd take off, but he outlasted me. I think he's still out there.
Took out my nikon for this shot ,How lovely, for these to open out today :))
Many more to come ,on this beautiful hot and sunny day :))
These were nurtured from seed in my friends conservatory then planted into a pot and grown outside in my front garden .. didnt we do well!
The bees are very scarce this year compared to last year so I was thrilled when I saw this one.
Best viewed large. If you look closely, you can see the sun, sky and tree reflections in his wing joint and eye.

What a better way to celebrate Earth Day!!
This pic was taken in the beautiful town of Hallstatt, Austria. And this beautiful cat followed me up the steep steps for a perfect background photograph. 📷😻The cable car line sort of distracts but it's SUPER rare to get an animal to sit for Such a wonderful winter background setting...
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a medieval town of quite amazing colours. I took this from my hotel room. Bavaria, Germany.
Another look at this beautiful chapel ceiling. As the sun and clouds play above the stained glass the light and colors change, adding a presence to the space.
Thank you so much for all of your views and faves! I truly appreciate your feedback.

Pyrostegia venusta, also commonly known as flamevine or orange trumpetvine, is a plant species of the genus Pyrostegia of the family Bignoniaceae originally endemic to Brazil, but now a well-known garden species.
It is an evergreen, vigorously-growing climber, capable of reaching 5 m in height. The foliage is made up of opposite, pinnate leaves with two or three, 4 to 8 cm leaflets,, and a 3-branched tendril, which all arise together from the end of the leaf petiole. The orange flowers, which appear from winter to spring, are 5 to 9 cm long and densely clustered. They are pollinated by hummingbirds. The fruits are smooth, 3 cm long brown capsules. 38723
