This is the bear we saw not far from the moose in my previous post. I suppose this guy is trying to fatten up for the winter.

The Bear River meanders through the countryside near Soda Springs, Idaho. This is the same location as the picnic table photo I posted a couple of weeks ago. It has been a busy time, so I need to get out soon for some newer photos.

Finally got some good bear pictures in Waterton, Alberta and in pouring rain all day!

Polar bears are beautiful yet dangerous animals. They are to be respected when you come face to face with them in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. Sometimes a little too close for comfort, but we all watched out for each other.

I hope you'll enjoy my work! Thank you for your support!

Another portrait of this very relaxed bear

My beloved Bear Creek with a higher flow due to recent rains. It's a mixture of shadows and sunlight as the clouds passed overhead. Spring is in the air . . .

Seriously called Bear Creek because several pioneer dairies from the 1880's mention seeing bear wondering the creek coming down from Minnesota just to the north.

This bear meanders through our Tennessee cabin property a couple of times a week, hopeful that we will slip up and provide some good garbage (food) for him. Feeding bears is NOT a good idea-- they get too used to getting close to people, and end up needing to be removed from the environment.

thank you W.Grundstein for remastering this little picture...

Bear cub from Bear County USA in South Dakota. All the cubs are put in a playing area by themselves. Very fun to watch.

Here's a handheld cropped shot of that wee white-phase black bear cub that I posted earlier with one of it's black brothers. It had rained all night and they were wet and appeared miserable. Mother was busy refueling nearby. Was most delightful watching them.

Thanks for your visit. Always appreciated!

Have a relaxing yet fun weekend!

A well loved teddy bear ... :-)

After a failed attempt at catching a salmon, this wet bear had a look of disappointment! This photo was taken in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve in Alaska!

Our community has a curbside pickup in the spring when homeowners can set out things they no longer use or want to throw away.

I hope this bear was rescued by someone.

Spring cubs, Coastal Brown Bears (Ursus arctos). Of course, being bear cubs, they spent a lot of time knocking each other around. However, they are sisters, with a strong bond. At the end of the day, they are close. Silver Salmon Creek, Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.

Such a delight to find these on Rogers Pass on the way home! There was probably a hundred other photographers there today...it was a scene I'll never forget viewing these gorgeous and somewhat uncommon flowers that only grow in high elevations! :) I am having a terrible time loading my photos...been trying for several hours...don't know if it's Flickr or internet...anyone else having problems?

ODESSA: "Otis, get up! It's snowing harder and harder. We won't find you later!

OTIS: "I thought I would test what it's like to be under the snow."

PAT: "Don't be stupid....you're freezing! I already want hot tea!"

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday! 🐻🐻🐻

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

Polar Bear GIOVANNA was born on 28 November 2006 in Fasano, Italy. She moved from Fasano to #TierparkHellabrunn (Munich Zoo) at the age of 14 months. Giovanna is considered a polar bear of exceptional beauty. She loves playing games and constantly invents new ones. This includes chasing any ball after pushing it away and spending time experimenting with different objects to see how far she can let them stick out from a cliff before they eventually fall down.
