Another shot from our early morning sighting of the engaging and predominantly nocturnal Bat-eared Fox.
A head profile in which there is no mistaking the origin of the name, said to be after the Egyptian slit-faced bat, which shares the characteristic disproportionally long ears.
The pointed snout and teeth are specially adapted to chew termites opening and closing five times a second for a diet which is predominantly Harvester Termites.
Sighted in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Kalahari, South Africa
L-R:
Ace, Batwoman, Batman, Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, Red Robin, and Red Hood
I only included "costumed" members, so no Alfred or Gorden. Also, school started for me, so I'll be posting at least once a day.
What do you think? Any requests?
The more time I spend with the micro racers the more I fall in love with them. Mostly though, it's their possibilities I love. There is absolutely a full Dodgem-carnival MOC coming.
For now though, Batman is excited about his new car. Yeah. Way to strike fear into the hearts of criminals!
Old house on some Farmers land. Asked permission to go on his land and take photos of it. Didn't seem keen at first but finally said yes and let us crack on :-)

"Chauve-souris" measures 9.5 x 5.5 x 4.25". The main image is of a bat engraving from a old french book. When the light is on bat skeletons appear underneath. The sides have parts of poems about bats and some pieces from a vintage book of calligraphia latina.
Alfred Tennyson - And Bats flew round in fragrant skys and wheel'd or lit the flimsy shapes that haunt the dusk; with ermine capes and wooly breasts, and beaded eyes.
Emily Dickenson - The bat is dun with wrinkled wings like fallow article, and not a song pervades his lips, or none perceptible. His small umbrella, quaintly halved, describing in the air an arc alike inscrutable, - Elate philosopher!
William Blake - The bat that flits at close of eve has left the brain that won't believe.
Robert Frost - And on the bat's mute antics, who would seem dimly to have made out my secret place, only to lose it when he pirouettes, and seek it endlessly with purblind haste.
Elizabeth Coatsworth - Wing through the darkness of the breast until with day they take their rest.

Found this little feller on my bathroom floor to day so rang the bat protection league to ask for some advice, so he is now sitting in a box with a tea towel over him with a cap of water waiting for it to go dark so he can go back home "hopefully"
his name is Bat, pronounced bahht, which means One in Basque -- quite a handsome ram, and quite sociable!

I can see I have a lot to work on if I have the luck to see them again. Too bad they only showed up around 10 minutes in the late twilight.

The BAT-Rotor is the ideal choice for tight urban pacification missions.
Larger, but slower than the BAT-Wing, faster than the Bat-chopper, the BAT-Rotor is Batman's most heavily armoured aircraft and allows Batman to infiltrate and exfiltrate with ease.
Armed with Rubber Bullets (I swear), Bat-Gas and Bat-Nets the BAT-Rotor acts as a weapons platform either to punch a hole in heavy resistance or to back up Batman in autonomous flight mode.
The Tilt Rotors rotates roughly 60 degrees. 15 back, 45 forward.
Built for FBTB Wings of Justice contest.
