This skeleton of a bat shows incredible similarities among vertebrates and mammals. The bat is extremely different from humans, yet shows a great deal of homologous similarities. Its wings show extreme similarity to those of human hands. The bones that support the bat’s wings are essentially long fingers, which they have evolved to use to fly.
