We managed to go to one of the warm up days for the Barhain F1. We left two days before the actual race. Can you believe it? Was awesome to see and HEAR the actual cars though.
Bahrain World Trade Centre viewed from my room at Golden Tulip Bahrain Hotel on sunny day. But wind turbines cannot be seen from this angle.
The Bahrain World Trade Center is a 240-metre-high, 50-floor, twin tower complex located in Manama, Bahrain. The Trade Centre, built in 2008 is the second tallest building in Bahrain and the first skyscraper in the world to integrate wind turbines into its design. The twin sail shaped towers are linked via three skybridges, each holding a 225 KW wind turbine, totaling to 675 kW of wind power capacity. The turbines are aligned north, which is the direction from which air from the Persian Gulf blows in, providing renewable energy for the project. (Photo Credit: UN Bahrain/UNIC Manama)
