With a strong backlight I was losing hope in getting anything out of this photo. The color version had some ugly greens on the bottom not matching at all with the grayish tones in the middle. I gave it a try in a monochrome solution and it turn much more pleasing than before. And I have to say that I am really loving it :) Cheers everyone.

Not 100% sure with the ID Help appreciated on that :)

This is a re-edit of a 6 year old photo - I've always loved this series of Millie in this pecan orchard (that has since been cut down - boooo to that!!) but my original edit was 'interesting' to say the least. It is fun to look back and see how far you've come with your processing skills and how you've evolved over the years. Anyhow, this was taken back when I shot EVERYTHING at F-1.2 so the focus is slightly questionable, but I still love it. There's just something about it. Millie carried this little stuffy named 'Puppy' around with her for YEARS. She still has it but it's not attached to her now as it once was. I'm sure with some digging, someone could turn up the original version of this image somewhere in my stream - it was taken in February of 2010. :)

I took a late afternoon hike in this amazing place, which I had never seen before. And about the time I took this photo I realized that my brain had omitted one thing: even though I had read about bog plants, so I knew there would be standing water, for some reason I had forgotten insect repellent. I was one of the few targets and regretfully, the relentless mosquitoes may have shortened my hike.

28/10/2018; Normally I'm not too fond of shooting in backlight, but I thought it added nicely to the atmosphere here.
