The JCB Display Team, more commonly known as the "Dancing Diggers" performs across the length and breadth of the country and is recognised as one of the top arena attractions available.
The team has appeared on television many times, showcasing the amazing abilities of the machine operators as they push their diggers to the absolute maximum of their capabilities.
The team comprised of 4 giant JCB 3CX diggers and one 527-55 loadall.
The four JCB's in the team weigh 8.5 tonnes each and cost in excess of Ā£48,000 each.
The Display Team drivers perform dare devil stunts and formation digger dancing. During a performance accompanied by music they push the machines and themselves to the limit, thrilling audiences of all ages.
The stunts performed are not only very difficult, but are also very dangerous, and must, under no circumstances be attempted by anyone in the audience!

527-55 LOADALL
The JCB 527-55 is a hugely efficient Dieselmax-powered Loadall. Itās powerful, productive, manoeuvrable, comfortable and safe.
3CX Eco
The JCB 3CX is the worldās number one backhoe loader (along with the JCB 4CX). The 3CX is a product of JCBās efficient design philosophy, responding to todayās rising fuel prices and environmental concerns with class-leading efficiency and low running costs. In short, innovative technologies have been applied to squeeze the absolute maximum out of every drop of fuel on the JCB 3CX Eco.
The Company
The firm was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in October 1945 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England.

Engineering equipment with a front bucket/shovel and a small backhoe in the rear combined with a tractor is known as backhoe loader. It is mostly used in small construction sites and in urban engineering such as fixing city roads.
With its front bucket filled with concrete as a counterweight this Komatsu backhoe loader has been fitted with a sizeable Hiab crane. The operator, seen reaching for the slings, has a remote control box that he works the crane from.
There were as many slings on the back as there are on the front, so I don't think they'll go short!

The JCB GT was crowned the fastest digger on earth in Bathurst, Australia, after reaching a speed of 70 miles per hour. The event took place on the 20th of November 2014.
As well as being the worldās biggest selling backhoe loader for the past 14 years, the digger was officially awarded the Guinness World Record for fastest backhoe loader in the world on the 25th of November 2014, with a speed of 72.58 mph (116.82 km/hr). It surpassed the original benchmark of 110 km/hr which was set by Guinness World Records. The GT has always been regarded as the fastest backhoe however it is now official.
The Demonstration Driver was Matthew Lucas, a 43 year old man from Werrington, Stoke-on-Trent in the United Kingdom. He has been nicknamed āThe Digā for giving the machine its well deserved title. This must have been an extremely joyous moment for him knowing that he steered the digger to victory.
It was made of fibreglass and aluminium and powered by a V8 Chevvy engine. It was originally designed to perform high speed wheelies at racing events. The digger made an appearance at the Formula One Australian Grand Prix in 1990 and here it is about 24 years later breaking records and receiving the official award for worldās fastest backhoe loader. The GT now makes regular appearances at US drag strips.
The JCB GT is based at the JCB Headquarters in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. The most recent version of the GT has a loader and a digger end made completely out of aluminium.
The JCB Display Team, more commonly known as the "Dancing Diggers" performs across the length and breadth of the country and is recognised as one of the top arena attractions available.
The team has appeared on television many times, showcasing the amazing abilities of the machine operators as they push their diggers to the absolute maximum of their capabilities.
The team comprised of 4 giant JCB 3CX diggers and one 527-55 loadall.
The four JCB's in the team weigh 8.5 tonnes each and cost in excess of Ā£48,000 each.
The Display Team drivers perform dare devil stunts and formation digger dancing. During a performance accompanied by music they push the machines and themselves to the limit, thrilling audiences of all ages.
The stunts performed are not only very difficult, but are also very dangerous, and must, under no circumstances be attempted by anyone in the audience!

The JCB 3CX is the worldās number one backhoe loader (along with the JCB 4CX). The 3CX is a product of JCBās efficient design philosophy, responding to todayās rising fuel prices and environmental concerns with class-leading efficiency and low running costs. In short, innovative technologies have been applied to squeeze the absolute maximum out of every drop of fuel on the JCB 3CX Eco.
The Company
The firm was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in October 1945 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England.
The JCB logo dates from 1953; from 1960 the company typewriters were given an extra key to render it accurately. The logo was designed by Leslie Smith, and is off-set at 18 degrees from the horizontal and 22 degrees from the vertical - the angles Joe Bamford liked.
To demonstrate his faith in the hydraulic failsafes on JCB machines (which lock the arms in the event of a loss of hydraulic pressure, preventing them from crashing to the ground), Joe Cyril Bamford arranged to have several backhoes raise themselves up on their arms, and drove his car beneath them.
This has since developed into a world famous demonstration of the versatility of the backhoe configuration. The JCB display team (JCB Dancing Diggers) tour agricultural shows and produce videos, showing some of the unusual ways in which such vehicles can support themselves or manoeuvre. For example, it is quite common for drivers to support the vehicle on both buckets, either for turning on the spot without damaging ground, or for spinning the tracks in a puddle to clean them. The display team expanded this concept into a sort of vehicle gymnastics. The drivers are members of JCB's demonstration team, who visit prospective customers and demonstrate machines on the customer's property in order to prove the machine's suitability for the task at hand.
