They were working on the wetlands area at the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve when I was out this summer.. This work will keep a little more water in the ponds for the water fowl in the summer when the Tualatin river isn't so high...The housing across the way is a nice place to go to get sunsets...

The street that runs past my condo has been under construction for a few months now. Here's the backhoe that was parked alongside the parking lot after the day's work.
I presume the roller on the front is for flattening the earth over the cabling for the street lights (the base of one is just out of frame to the right) that are being put in right now. There was a trench running along the side of the road prior to this evening.
