I tried out the backhoe but wanted these gussets in place before I did more work. It looks like I will be using the bucket to fill holes after digging. It sure was better then using a shovel.

Friday before the Lawrenceville Bible conference. I thought I was taking the day off from work, but here I am using the backhoe. It's hard to get away from the farm, and I'm sure glad I had the tools that a farm has. I had my "city boy" friend Ed Erisman down early, so we decided to go back to the Hills to do some mudding in the fields and the terrace bottoms. He got the bright idea to get stuck. The girls were catching a ride farm style to "help" me get the Rhino out of the mud. I'm not sure why my cousin, Abigail couldn't pull the Rhino out with her big muscles.

An update to one of my favourite childhood sets, the 6662 backhoe. The set is a great classic town vehicle, but with the newer larger scale vehicles, I felt it was in need of an update.
