They're buidling just down the street. And the operator wondered why I was taking pictures of his hoe.
A construction crew at the site of a new Interstate 90 bridge being built over the Mississippi River upriver of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
The backhoe worked to clear the first mile of roadway to Artist Point. We will spend the next two weeks clearing snow off the highway and reopening the road up to the Heather Meadows visitor center and lower parking lot. The upper portion (two miles) of roadway will remain closed this summer because the snow is simply too deep and would take too long to clear.
You've heard about the Pink Cadillac, right? Well, how 'bout the Pink Backhoe?! This piece of equipment belongs to one of the contractors working on a portion of the new Triangle Expressway, Bonn-J Contracting of Florida, which happens to be a woman-owned contractor!
