week one: make a background

I chose the make a large painting because I usually stay as far away from them as I can. But instead of layering warm on cold, I flipped it. I like cool colors better.

Me and my wife went on a photo trip to Borgarfjörður Eystri with a few others (Helga, Völundur, Lára, Elvar, Andri and Berglind), of course I might be getting the names wrong as well as the flickr accounts ... I'm only guessing, but until I get confirmation it is better than nothing :)

The Lagunas de Llanganuco (3,850 m / 12,631 ft) are located in the Parque Nacional Huascarán, which includes most of the Cordillera Blanca, above the town of Yungay. The snowy peak in the background is the Nevado Yanapaccha (5,460 m / 17,909 ft).
