I sit on the floor of the hut and write in a notebook with a pencil on a rope.
My travel notebook turned into an illustrated dictionary of the Kaluf-Aup language.
I draw, people guess the words, and I come up with their writing in an have no alphabet language. This is how the game turned out.
A trip to the forest, where a closed community lives in isolation, is not so much a romantic adventure as it is self-improvement.
The first thing you need to understand is: can you like it ? Can you enjoy a simple, hard life full of self-restraint? The rather meager local diet requires abandoning the usual way of life.
Dirt, constantly wet clothes, constant possibility of getting sick, constant omnipresent insects...
And in these external circumstances, you need to work, you need to maintain inner comfort.
Then you can be genuinely interested in people.
Then you will have the opportunity to be interesting to people

Happy holidays to all my contacts. A few candid shots with my new DX7360 taken backstage while working Ballet Austin's The Nutcracker. I've had enough of the show but figured you might enjoy the snaps.
I'll probably have some better shots of the show taken with my A-1 up soon, but had to test the 7630's backstage capabilities too. Could be better but the price was right (free), and I'll have fun with it.
PS, got lucky with this one... shot it not even noticing the nutcracker was in his hands. Sometimes my eyes glaze over and all i see is light/shadow and composition.

Backstage photo from a theater. The play was "Odysseus come back home" (by Iakovos Kambanelis). The production was done by the local Architect's Association and none of the actors was a professional.
