I spent my last weekend at Sai Kung (西贡), a place I had seldom visited before even though it is not that far away from campus. It is such a beautiful fishing village with such nice villagers, and that peaceful lifestyle and atmosphere just easily filled me with nostalgia. Sai Kung is also famous for its seafood. It is called a mecca for seafood lovers, and I would love to have seafood in Sai Kung some day. :D

.The "Vappu" 1st May celebrations, most popular venue is Kaivopuisto or Brunnsparken, where hundreds of people congregate, mostly wearing their white caps, visible symbols of matriculation.

Many have tables and chairs (or blankets) and set them up for brunch, with champagne for drink. Some even set up pavillions. The technical students and graduates have black tassels hanging from their caps. I have my father's cap at home.

I only noticed two weeks ago that three of the technical students in the photo have their caps back to front :))

Actually, I wanted to crop this a bit to get rid of people not part of the group, but could not see any way without cutting people in half and so on.

High point of the day, realizing it's Tuesday and while this meant there would be no free breakfast followed by a Monday meeting, it also meant Friday magically moved a day closer.

Ok maybe the real high point was Peter being pleased with his print of "The Other Peter" I'm sure the high point wasn't the pouring rain between 0700 and 1000.

Low point of the day... nope not the pouring rain between 0700 and 1000 I'm pretty sure it was hitting myself on the leg with my sledgehammer... mnn pretty sure that was the low point. Turned into a middle of the road point since my work colleague was so amused by it.

He called for the men in white coats when I gave him a rousing chorus of Gene Kelly's "Singing in the Rain"

So in short it was a regular day at work, I enjoyed myself built some things and shot this panorama with my mobile when the rain happily stopped as I went back to work after breakfast. Hope you all had a great day

So I was out doing some shopping, and I'm hungry, and I hear the McRib is back at McDonalds (again). Nothing like a semi gelatinous restructured meat pork patty to get the juices flowing. A quick trip through the drive through at my local restaurant and I'm on my way. But look at what was in the box! Just how is one supposed to eat this thing!?!

Back to Micky Dees to listen to the manager explain to me that folks don't mind when they make substitutions because they don't have the right piece parts. They were out of McRib buns so they used a round bun instead...

Can we say refund please?
