Ra-Kiera Gibbs - 7, who was named "BPD Commissioner for the Day," was chosen for her bravery; taking a stand against bullying as she attended the John E. Howard Brookfield Recreation & Park Center. Ra-Kiera decided to let counselors know about kids and students who were being bullied. She was also chosen as the winner for writing an essay on bullying.

On July 14, 2016, 6th graders from The Bridges of St Paul School visited the Baltimore Police Department Headquarters building.
They were greeted by Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and Media Relations Chief, T.J. Smith.
The children and their advisors visited the Communication’s Section, fed the horses of the Mounted Unit, sat on police motorcycles, and got an up and close look at the prized Fox Trot. Before departing, the day was capped off with a ride around the Baltimore Inner Harbor in one the police department’s marine boats.
