On Friday, July 10th at 2:30 P.M., members of the Northern District welcomed Lieutenant Mo Gaba to the Baltimore Police Department.
Lieutenant Gaba, who has been battling cancer his whole life, is an inspiration to all who know him as he exudes courage, selflessness, patience, and humility.
Accompanying Lieutenant Gaba when he was honored by the BPD was his mother and Jeremy Conn of 105.7 TheFan.

On July 14, 2016, 6th graders from The Bridges of St Paul School visited the Baltimore Police Department Headquarters building.
They were greeted by Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and Media Relations Chief, T.J. Smith.
The children and their advisors visited the Communication’s Section, fed the horses of the Mounted Unit, sat on police motorcycles, and got an up and close look at the prized Fox Trot. Before departing, the day was capped off with a ride around the Baltimore Inner Harbor in one the police department’s marine boats.
Yesterday, Officer Brian Burke was greeted by his family, members of the department and Commissioner Harrison as he was released from Shock Trauma after being shot in the line of duty earlier this month.
We want to thank Dr. Scalea and the entire team at the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for the care they provided to Officer Burke
Members of the Baltimore Police Department, first introduced you to Julia Warren, last March of 2013. Julia is visiting Baltimore from Tenessee with her grand mother. She's a patient at an area hospital and she's 7 years old. Although Julia's road was rough and her battle was tough, The Baltimore Police Department and all of its members had willingly given their time to show gratitude to a true hero, Julia. Prior to Julia's departure from Baltimore, she met with our Aviation Unit who honored her with her special t-shirt and her very own wings. She also met with our Mounted unit, K9 unit, Motors Unit, Public Affairs Office and Accident Investigations Unit. in behalf of BPD,we like to thank every member of this department and their help with Julia, and we'd like to wish Julia all the best with her future endeavors.
