Every college town has one of these. For decades, McArthur Court was Eugene's main venue for countless events. Primarily, it was a basketball court. But also it gave service as a musical venue, and artists ranging from Van Cliburn to Elvis Presley appeared here. I saw Van Cliburn. Also, I remember seeing George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra here twice, (and James Levine when he was assistant conductor on their second tour.) Also, politicians and national figures drew crowds - among many, Eleanor Roosevelt and George Wallace. When I was a student, this was where we went through registration hell, waiting in long lines to sign up for classes, sometimes for hours, and usually not getting the ones we wanted..
Box office for the drive in movies.
Apparently the drive in has been open since 1948 and has shown movies every year. The theater has one of the biggest screens in California at a 100ft. Admission is $5 per car up to six people per car.

The new Hull Truck Theatre on Ferensway opens on 23rd April 2009.
Inside the theatre is robust and has great attention to detail in the finish - glazed tiles, often used in Victorian music halls, reflect lights attractively and are extremely durable. The Box office.

First opening its doors in 1904, Victoria Theater is the oldest operating theater in West Virginia. Located in the registered historic market district of the city of Wheeling, the Victoria is a ~800 seat Victorian style theater with many Beaux-Arts design influences. In 1934 the Victoria Theater served for a short period as home to the WWVA Jamboree (later renamed "Jamboree USA"), the second longest running radio program in the U.S.

The El Capitan Theatre opened in 1926 as a live stage theater. It was converted into a movie house in 1942, and renovated in 1991.
Box Office inside the vestibule of the Orpheum Theatre in Wichita Kansas. The box office was reconstructed in 2008. The Orpheum was built in 1922 and was designed by John Eberson.

Gem Theater (1937)
The silver mining town of Pioche reached it's peak in the 1870's, when it had a population of about 6,000. Today around 1000 people live in town. It is a wonderful and historic frontier town to explore.
The Warner Grand Theatre, designed by B. Marcus Priteca, was built in 1931. In 2012, the theater hosted live events and film.
