I am the same lady on display. I am not a cosmetic salesperson. I am the lady boss who is here to collect my rent.
Bella lets the tortoises know she's the boss.
(and she really thinks she is boss, I've seen her drag these poor creatures across the yard - no unattended outdoor play for her yet)

What you are seeing is a rolling history museum. Ford made 499 1970 Boss 429s and this one had less than 20,000 on the odometer at the time these shots were made. Harold Fugate (Fugate Motors of El Dorado Springs) was the car's owner and he used to let me take this priceless car out and drive it most every time I hit town. He eventually sold the car for enough cash to put his daughter all the way through a private college!

Last day of the safari and got a bang head on view of the BOSS. My dream shot, of the tiger in the grass in full light.
With the tiger just ahout 7 feet from us, the feeling was of admiration rather than to shoot. The beautiful animal is truly the king of the jungle

vending machines are EVERYWHERE--- and you can get hot or cold drinks from these machines. (view large you can see the options and the prices) canned coffees and teas are very popular (and quite good, believe it or not). 100Y=about $1.00
recognize tommy lee jones there on the machine? he is one the american actors who advertises for japanese products... (they make big bucks) he is promoting BOSS coffee. when i lived there-- brad pitt did adverts and commercials for jeans and coffee.... catherine zeta jones did shampoo-- cameron diaz did a language school... so many more-- i cant remember. :)

Late afternoon view over the western shore of Boss's Cove, Pembroke Parish, Bermuda.
The viewpoint is very close to where we stay with my in-laws (out of sight to the R.). The view looks WSW across the Great Sound over various islands towards the parishes of Southampton (distant L) and Sandys (distant R). The stepped roof, and the style of the chimney stack, on the house on the R, are traditional Bermuda forms.

The 125km-trip back to Hanoi took 3,5 hours. The Sprinter-van drove some 35 km/h and at a shutter speed of 1/3200 that means 3mm for every exposure. I used the “hazy” old manual 50mm 1.4; an impossible lens, very hard to focus, but a lens that I love all the same.
On the way to Mai Chau I became fascinated by the narrow (4-5 meters) two- or three-story buildings with a colorful face and open space towards the street. On the trip back I tried to do some architectonic drive-by photography and this resulted in a series of un-staged “freeze frames” of Vietnam.
In the Mai-Chau-to-Hanoi-album the photos are organised chronologically, driving into Hanoi from the countryside, a rain shower halfway.
