She wanted a bit about where we live, and what we like.
I live in the UK (nnnaaahhh really? haha) and i like fabric. The selvages are from some of my favourite fabrics.

She cracked me up laughing with this outfit. Don't know who you are are hon, but Brava!
Some more scrap blocks for my quilt. I love these blocks, and I'm sure I have enough scraps for 100 blocks.

Wooden block set by Schowanek, marked as made in the U.S. Zone, Germany, which dates the design of the label to pre-1950.
This is a small set, the box size is approx. 70 x 80 mm, and the price label shows it was sold in Harrods for 4/6.
The company originated in the Sudetenland area of Czechoslovakia. After the Second World War the factory was nationalised and continued to produce wooden toys in a similar style. The Schoanek company re-established itself firstly in Austria, and then in the western part of Germany.

My bee blocks for Charlotte! Adore the colour scheme but it was surprising how few background fabrics I have with white - most are off-white or cream!
Must go shopping!
The Campbell Block - also known as the Cline & L'Heureux Building - is one of many historic buildings in Athens that sees ongoing occupation and use. According to some sources, the second floor of this building housed a skating rink at one point; I can only imagine the sound that would create on the first floor.

This block is approximately 6x6, signed, numbered and made to hang...or place...or use as a coaster. Whatever you see fit. Ridiculously cheap and lookin' for a good home.
You can look in the "art?" set and see more. Once sold however, I delete them.
All blocks available on my Etsy (link on my profile).
Taken in Leavenworth, KS. Polaroid SX-70, Polaroid Type 779.
Don't the blocks look great all together like this? - All the blocks I have received so far from the awesome Canadian quilters of the Sew Modern Bee, along with 4 I have completed myself. Still waiting for 2 members blocks but I thought you would all want to see them together.
I was going to do 20 blocks but have changed my mind, now will do only 16 with sashing it will be queen size. Each block is 16.5 unfinished. Fabric line is Flourish from Studio E.
Please feel free to add a note indicating your block.
Thanks so much everyone for your wonderful blocks.

These are the numbers on some of the other sides of the Disney blocks. Krazy Eight is happy that one of the numbers was an eight.
An old office building now part of a new block. I have made some minor changes like a more magnificent entrance in tarnished copper. It is art deco inspired after all. I just wish it had a suitable print. It also has two ground levels with a long stair to the upper level. Each step is approximately one quarter of a plate.

I do not follow the micropolis standard, but my neighborhoods all together fits with standard modules.
a few blocks for my new quilt - it's a mix of nice muted and pale blues, greens and yellows and will use a lot of the wonderful munki munki prints i've managed to collect... blogged here.

The first three blocks all together - I'm really excited about the palette I'm working with and the fun of fussy cutting foxes so that they peek out in such sneaky ways. You can't trust a fox but they are super cute so really it doesn't matter.

My first wholesale order. Three sets of ABC blocks. It was lots of work, but I'm so pleased with the end result.
Soon to be available at wonderful Quiet Hour Toys.
A little while ago Simon Pickard (aka brickspartan) from Blocks magazine approached me about doing a feature article on me (as part of a series of AFOL feature articles). I was chuffed and flattered for the recognition (and a little intimidated at the same time!) Simon and I had a great time during the interview and I'm really pleased with how well Simon put together this feature.
Its available in UK stockists WH Smith, Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, and others(?). I believe its carried by Barnes and Noble in the US and available globally in digital form from the iTunes Newsstand app.
Blocks is a great read with high quality content and production. That should not be come as a surprise since most of the editorial team are mostly AFOLs.
