This black and white duck hangs out at the millpond in town with all the mallards and one goose. I noticed today that he has a tag on one of his legs, must have been spotted and claimed by the DNR at some point.
I found this black fox 4 days after the last one. It was in Inuvik, NWT (inside the arctic circle). That would be about 1000km north as a crow flies or about 1700km driving. It couldn't be the same fox. He was a fast runner but not that fast. Not the best quality. This is a 100% crop at 4000 ISO. This fox was a lot more shy.
Raven, ever curious, watching the snow. After spending one and a half years in the shelter AFTER being rescued by the Humane Society along with 54 other cats from a crazy cat hoarding lady; EVERYTHING is interesting. Plus it's great to be able to run! And does she RUN!!!
The Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) is a large waterbird which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia.
This is one of four lovely puppies that I found on the corner of my neighborhood. Looks like someone left them alone with their mother. Thank to God, with the help of some mercyful neighbors, we could save them (actually three of them, the little one went to heaven) and find a home for them and for the mother.

Cachorro negro (pura calle)
this scorched Angophora subvelutina still has its 'blackened' bark spiders, last visited spring 2014
...... photograph taken in Florida.
This is a Mangrove Skipper, Phocides pigmalion.
A very striking butterfly in that the small amount of colour on it is electric blue and very noticeable against the black.

The Black Bulbul is approximately 24 cm in length, mainly black overall with a grey patch on the secondary feathers of its wings. Its bill and feet are bright red, and its head bears a shaggy crest. Its tail is fairly short, broad and slightly notched. Black Bulbuls feed on fruits and insects, and form fairly large, noisy flocks in winter, emitting an almost continuous series of shrill, squeaky calls. They are found in open forests, forest edges and clearings.
