Something I just threw together for my project (it's hopefully going to be done by Tuesday so you won't have to listen to me blabbing on about it)

The idea here is for you all to come up with a secret mission scenario based on the photo. It wouldn't be a secret mission if I simply blabbed it to you, now would it?
Well, here's my entry for BLaB's Ma.K Like a Boss building contest! I couldn't really think of what to build, until I saw my Batman minifig sitting on my shelf. Then it clicked. I would build a mecha Batmobile. So, here is the product of my labor!
Features include:
-Poseable legs
-Adjustable bat fins
-Smoke bomb cannon
-Opening cockpit
-Extendable ladder
-A Bat-SAFS (why not?)
You can check out the other views of the MOC here!

Charley (affectionately): “See, there you go being Can the Considerate.”
Candy: “Hey, I love seeing you and Dane together, so I’m not about to do anything to jeopardize your relationship. Besides, like you said, Dane’s private, so obviously you’re not going to go around blabbing about his business. That’s not your way.”
Charley: “Nah, it’s not that. Dane told me I could tell whomever I wanted because, and I quote, ‘I’m tired of people thinking I’m a decent enough bloke, when I’m the stuff shite wipes off the bottom of its shoe. I utterly and completely failed the one person who ever gave a damn about me.’”
Candy: *winces* “Wow, that is some seriously harsh self-flagellation there.”
Charley: *pushes up her glasses* “You have no idea. Do you remember Wren talking about Dane’s Alice? She didn’t really give us many details—most likely because she didn’t have any—but she did say that Alice was really important to him?”
Candy: *drawls slowly* “Yeeees.”
Charley: “Well, she’s dead, and Dane holds himself responsible.”
Candy: “Holy crap! Why?”
Charley: *sighs, as she visually steels herself to relay the tale* “Backstory time. Get comfy. Alice was the daughter of their housekeeper. She was almost exactly the same age as Dane, so they grew up together. Dane loved her enormously. He was kind of an awkward kid without a lot of friends, and his family wasn’t particularly affectionate, so Alice was his whole world—friend, family, and confidant.”
Candy (hesitantly): “Was that all? I mean as they got older were they, um…romantic?”
Charley: *shakes head* “No, Dane said the best way he could describe his feelings were that of a brother—a very protective brother. Alice was apparently…different.”
Candy: “How so?”
Charley: “Well, it’s hard for me to speculate because Dane didn’t describe it too clearly. It sounds like she didn’t always engage with the world like you’d expect. She was wickedly smart and funny, but there were times when she couldn’t cope with basic stuff. She’d become overwhelmed and completely withdraw, sometimes for days.”
Candy: “Mild autism, maybe?”
Charley: “That’s what I thought, too, but when I mentioned it to Dane, he got really agitated. Said he didn’t understand why we have to label everything and everyone. Alice was just Alice.”
Candy (unsurprised): “Yeah, Dane doesn’t have much patience for labeling. Says it closes minds off because once you label someone as this or that, that’s all you’ll see in them. So, what happened to Alice?”

Hufflepuff Dorms
Dorms have been recently added for student use and we've modeled a lot of them based on the inspiration and description from Pottermore:
"...our dormitories are reached through round doors in the walls of the common room. Copper lamps cast a warm light over our four-posters, all of which are covered in patchwork quilts, and copper bed warmers hang on the walls, should you have cold feet."

I've been getting people IMing me asking me how H:YS has been since me and a group of amazing new friends have taken over December of 2011. I've never got quite the time to sit back and actually look at the work that we've done or the new additions that we've made, but tonight I wanted to take some time off and snap a few shots of them to share with you guys.
We've basically expanded the work done by Hoggy, Light and Jin -- 3 architects who we can't thank enough of. Each of the classrooms have their own interior design now, some new areas have been erected as well as dorms. However, with that in mind, we're still a brand new sim and have a ton to learn and grow from, but our doors are always open to those who love JK Rowling and the world she has created.
A huge thanks to Corwin, Soapie, Jazzy, Juniper and Elidon for being a great admin team to work with. Corwin especially who has kept me sane in times when I feel slightly high on caffeine. The ALOs for their constant hard work on application, the RPDs, Prefects and Professors who have contributed so much ideas and joy to the sim. And finally and most importantly to the members who constantly keep us alive and enjoying what we do. H:YS has been a side of SL I never explored before, and it's taught me a great deal number of things and ventured me off to scripting and building -- things I dabbled with but never seriously done. OH and how can I forget Sue, who's constantly on Skype hearing me moan and groan and scream and wriggle.
So enough blabbing and back to work for me! But I hope we'll hold an OOC preview soon so people can come on in and explore the new areas. Thanks for reading the rambling or looking at the pictures, we hope to keep expanding this place to its fullest potential!

It rained. I moped.
My kid leaves town, and I have the terrible urge to make hundreds (yes, hundreds) of perfect little pancakes. Hundreds. And I also have a rather strong urge to make biscuits.
My child doesn't eat pancakes (he prefers waffles), and I've never made biscuits in my life.
Explain please.
Don't get me started on the dog not being around either..... Let's all pray for some sunshine and a good trip.
Reaaaally, goddamnit these are all edited WAY differently :P Oh well..
Scanning in my negatives right now, exciting! :D

This area was closed off for a bit, but we managed to open it up and add a few more rooms and doors. Or at least planning to! This will hopefully be a club/organization area since it leads to the pitch, owlery, dueling room (in process) and the courtyard could be where kids play Gobstones at (also in process).
The animations here are pretty fun to watch when you're aimlessly idling around after role play <3

I hardly took any photos at the Boston meetup last week LOL. I mostly go there to blab with everybody anyway. XD;; But I did take some pictures of Naberia, and this is the only one I liked!
Perhaps when the weather is less yucky and I can comfortably wear 3 layers of pants to deter ticks, I will take outdoor photos of her in The Dress. But for now she is cute and modern again. :D
Naberia is a CP Delf Dark Elf Soo!

Here's the sheen I was blabbing about. I wasn't kidding. This is amazing. It shines like gold.
Drying ink, Scribblers Deep Magenta and Ecoline Ultramarine Light. Brush calligraphy on Canson 160g/m².
The sheen starts to show. These are some of the most beautiful colors and effects I ever obtained since I started calligraphy.
Crowd at Blab 12 watching my everyday video.
I gave a talk last at night's BLAB in Manchester with Nicolas Roope (founder of Poke London). It was a great crowd and I would like to thank every one that came. Big up Mr Both for organising.
The next blab is on 30 October where there will be talks from Illustrators Peter Crawley and Mr Bingo. Tickets go on sale today.
My next talk is TODAY (Tuesday the 11th of September) at the White Cloth Gallery in Leeds. Find more info about my Leeds talk on my blog here.
On the 19th October I will be giving a talk about my work at the S184 gallery in Munich Germany. I am actually in Munich teaching a photo course on the weekend of 20th October if anyone is interesting in the last few places.
