Last night I was talking with my friend John on the phone. I was blabbing about my excitement of the large amount of things I had done that day (and how proud I was for staying focused). I was also really excited I was going to get to sleep in and what I had planned for my adventures. Then a shocking realization hit me...I was testing for E6 in the AM! It completely freaked me out because I didn't have an alarm set. Of course I had caught it in plenty of time, but the thought slipped my mind completely! It was at that point that I realized my to-do list was somewhat lacking and while I may have been on a roll getting things done, I had to make sure my priority list had the, yeah know, important things on it.
So, you guys may not care for it but this is probably my favorite picture to date. I don't really know why. Maybe I'm just happier these days. I think you can tell that though. I love that these little flowers (ahem, weeds) have popped up all over the area. Oh, and on a side note this is in a small field next to Best Buy in Vacaville. I guess it's just another representation that life is what you make it. If I'd zoomed out some, you could see all the buildings and gloomy looking trees. But, if you maintain your focus, you can live in dream land, and I'm totally okay with that. Happy Tu... wait, what is today... oh yeah, Happy St Patrick's Day!

Blab was a decorated member of the Waffen SS which was the military branch of this Nazi Party organization. The Nuremburg Trials found the organization to be a criminal enterprise responsible for numerous war crimes, and members and their families were denied military benefits after the war unless the member was conscripted. As a member of a Pionier unit, Blab clearly saw a lot of combat as he won the Iron Cross First and Second Class, the Wound Badge in Silver and the Close Combat clasp. He was killed in action southwest of Kharkov in September 1943 during the German retreat after the battle of Kursk. His presence there near Kharkov probably means that he was a member of one of the elite divisions composing Hausser's Panzer Korps.
This was taken with the sigma that i returned yesterday to get the macro...i liked it, but i didn't realize there was a "super" wide angle, and just a regular wide angle... so next week, i'm getting a super wide. okay enough blabbing haha <3

The idea here is for you all to come up with a secret mission scenario based on the photo. It wouldn't be a secret mission if I simply blabbed it to you, now would it?
Well, here's my entry for BLaB's Ma.K Like a Boss building contest! I couldn't really think of what to build, until I saw my Batman minifig sitting on my shelf. Then it clicked. I would build a mecha Batmobile. So, here is the product of my labor!
Features include:
-Poseable legs
-Adjustable bat fins
-Smoke bomb cannon
-Opening cockpit
-Extendable ladder
-A Bat-SAFS (why not?)
You can check out the other views of the MOC here!

Charley (affectionately): “See, there you go being Can the Considerate.”
Candy: “Hey, I love seeing you and Dane together, so I’m not about to do anything to jeopardize your relationship. Besides, like you said, Dane’s private, so obviously you’re not going to go around blabbing about his business. That’s not your way.”
Charley: “Nah, it’s not that. Dane told me I could tell whomever I wanted because, and I quote, ‘I’m tired of people thinking I’m a decent enough bloke, when I’m the stuff shite wipes off the bottom of its shoe. I utterly and completely failed the one person who ever gave a damn about me.’”
Candy: *winces* “Wow, that is some seriously harsh self-flagellation there.”
Charley: *pushes up her glasses* “You have no idea. Do you remember Wren talking about Dane’s Alice? She didn’t really give us many details—most likely because she didn’t have any—but she did say that Alice was really important to him?”
Candy: *drawls slowly* “Yeeees.”
Charley: “Well, she’s dead, and Dane holds himself responsible.”
Candy: “Holy crap! Why?”
Charley: *sighs, as she visually steels herself to relay the tale* “Backstory time. Get comfy. Alice was the daughter of their housekeeper. She was almost exactly the same age as Dane, so they grew up together. Dane loved her enormously. He was kind of an awkward kid without a lot of friends, and his family wasn’t particularly affectionate, so Alice was his whole world—friend, family, and confidant.”
Candy (hesitantly): “Was that all? I mean as they got older were they, um…romantic?”
Charley: *shakes head* “No, Dane said the best way he could describe his feelings were that of a brother—a very protective brother. Alice was apparently…different.”
Candy: “How so?”
Charley: “Well, it’s hard for me to speculate because Dane didn’t describe it too clearly. It sounds like she didn’t always engage with the world like you’d expect. She was wickedly smart and funny, but there were times when she couldn’t cope with basic stuff. She’d become overwhelmed and completely withdraw, sometimes for days.”
Candy: “Mild autism, maybe?”
Charley: “That’s what I thought, too, but when I mentioned it to Dane, he got really agitated. Said he didn’t understand why we have to label everything and everyone. Alice was just Alice.”
Candy (unsurprised): “Yeah, Dane doesn’t have much patience for labeling. Says it closes minds off because once you label someone as this or that, that’s all you’ll see in them. So, what happened to Alice?”

It rained. I moped.
My kid leaves town, and I have the terrible urge to make hundreds (yes, hundreds) of perfect little pancakes. Hundreds. And I also have a rather strong urge to make biscuits.
My child doesn't eat pancakes (he prefers waffles), and I've never made biscuits in my life.
Explain please.
Don't get me started on the dog not being around either..... Let's all pray for some sunshine and a good trip.

Here's the sheen I was blabbing about. I wasn't kidding. This is amazing. It shines like gold.

The sheen starts to show. These are some of the most beautiful colors and effects I ever obtained since I started calligraphy.
