Guyz I knw this might sound funny.. but I wish u take my advice seriously !
Recently I started uploading pix showing my eyes and I had many ppl saying wow o some ppl were saying r u wearing 3adasaat and bla blab la !!
El mohem since the time I uploaded the pic that I was holding my cam, I started noticing strange things appearing in my eyes !!
I had a surgery in my Right eye last week and today I was supposed to have one in the other eye,, BUT the Dr. was checking on the eye that he did last week.. and he found that the things he removed came back after the surgery.. so he did the same eye again !!
So next week inshalla I’ll have the left eye done!!
Many people mentioned that thing here in flickr before and they advised us to stop posting such pics.. bs lel2asaf some members; including me, didn’t take the case seriously !!
So I guess kel7ad knew what am trying to say !!..
Please guys remove pictures that might harm you !.. Specially kids pictures !!
Don’t do my mistake !
Am not saying its from flickr.. but keeping ur self safe is always better ! =)
Regards, =)
Today Kelly and I went putt-putting and exploring around the park in my home town. Well, my sort of home town. Sometimes I don't claim it. I grew up for half of my childhood there. It's where all my true childhood friends are. But it's not where I give a sigh of relief when I come home to it. I don't really fit in there. I'm not a redneck, high school drama isn't my life, and my life goal isn't to own a successful beauty parlor one day.
It's also strange to have someone from my life at college come with me to my hometown haunts. My two worlds collide and it makes everything feel different. There's so many emotions. I feel like a traitor bringing an outsider home. But it's fun to experience the old things in a new way.
It's funny how you can live so many years of your life in one place and never see some of the things about it. Today I had no idea there were so many beautiful places behind the park. I've never even really been back there before.
Life seem to be a lot like that recently. There's so many things I can do with my life that I never realized until now. There's so many beautiful things in the world that are all of a sudden becoming real to me. And now I feel like I'll never get to actually experience them. There's so little time and so many things to do, and even though I'm young, I feel like I'll never get to do it all. As enlightening as the experience is, it's really depressing.
I feel like I'm just blabbing away here. We had a lot of fun today. Kelly's sitting next to me bemoaning over how she's not wearing a dress and looking all dainty. Oh well, next time ;-)
For Self Portrait Tuesday
Been taking lots of photos lately, between my G10 and my 85mm and trips and grad and and and...life is busy. Lots to do, lots to remember, lots to learn. And the more I learn, the more I see how much I do not know. I find that totally exciting.
Days like today and yesterday, filled with the simple joys of friendship and kids and family are the best. I wish they happened more often, or stayed with me longer. I am trying to savour the richness of the little moments more these days. And ending my day down here is one of those...
Just blabbing, like in the old 365 days:).
My very first Lensbaby shot!
I finally had some time today to test out my new Lensbaby Composer with the Creative Aperture kit's star ring. I set out towards the beach, but the fog was so thick I couldn't even see 5ft in front of me. Not a dream weather situation for photography.
I walked around for a while, but felt so uninspired that I didn't take a single shot. I couldn't see anything i wanted to shoot so I started to walk back. I was literally a block away from my place when I shook my negative attitude off for a few minutes and took a couple of snaps of a man crossing the street parallel to me. I thought the picts looked kind of interesting, so I hung around and shot a few more shots on different settings and using the bendy blurriness (technical term) of the Lensbaby.
This was my 5th shot. I pulled it into Photoshop and did some cross-processing and voila!
The point in all this blab is that you should never give up shooting, even when you are uninspired, uncreative, and negative about your photography. You never know what great shot may find lurking around the next corner, or in this case, through the mist.
So get out there and keep shooting :D
Models: Kathryn Michelle and Horace Silver
Kathryn is a genuinely wheelchair-bound model.
The lack of empathy or compassion many (not all) Christians have towards the sick or disabled among even their own followers disgusts me. It is not just abusive and hurtful (and often - note I do not say always - done to get hefty tithes/financial donations so the bloodsucking "man of God" can maintain the lifestyle of a movie star) but it's also darned ignorant... a very judgemental kind of faith that maybe needs to take a read of the book of Job again.
The associated positive thinking/The Secret movement linked to the Blab it and Grab it brigade can also cause immense damage as it re-victimises and stigmatises the suffering. While there is no doubt some truth in faith/positive thinking and the power of limiting self-beliefs. including on illness, that is not the whole story, and it is a foolish and recklessly hurtful person who says otherwise.
Lots of love from Job (and we are many).
Taken during my little Northern tour where I gave talk in Manchester and Leeds. I also managed to get a look in at the Impressions gallery in Bradford to. It was a photo phototastic few days.
You can see the talk I gave in Leeds here.

i'm so grateful for the love i share with conor. he's my constant companion, especially this year.
i've had a lot of anxiety about his health in the past week. his energy has been low and he's not demanding treats like he normally would. when i do our treat hiding game, he doesn't get them all. it's not normal. it could very possibly be the change of season and the colder, wet weather making him a little depressed. his routine has changed and he doesn't like changes to his routine. he's happy when he can go outside and get a little sun bath, check the perimeters and chomp on a little grass. i think he has seasonal attitude disorder like his mommy...
but, he's also 15 and getting older. his potassium levels had gotten very bad at the end of august, even though he's on a potassium supplement, so i've been struggling to get him to eat more of it (it's in his wet food he doesn't have much interest in now that he gets dry food treat hidings, which is part of his behavioral plan). i was supposed to recheck a month later, but sept/oct were crazy busy months at work so it got delayed. then i was supposed to go a week ago but my car broke down (the day before thankfully, not with conor in the car!). so now, i'm rescheduled for end of this week. i left a message for my vet yesterday, wondering if we should check anything else.
over the weekend, i tried cutting down on his zylkene a little, thinking maybe he doesn't need 3 doses of a chill pill if his energy is low. but that wasn't a good plan. he was clearly mad. -don't mess with conor's routine ;-/
i'm blabbing. can you tell i'm worried? :)
this morning when i got up, he was full of energy and had gotten all the treats i put out last night that he missed, and ate a little of his wet food. so that makes me happy.
when he's happy, i'm happy. probably the reverse as well. i've had a lot of stress lately so maybe he's reacting to Me... :(
this (tagged) insanely amazing photo is what inspired me to finally learn how to do an overlay (i used fotoflexr - it's so easy).it's no where near as good. oh well.
PRINT GIVEAWAY PEOPLE (I've tagged you too): I went to the printy shop today and have ordered them! I'll pick them up + post tomorrow!
MORE in comments! Tell me what you like + I'll consider uploading :)
oh and sorry for blabbing - but please press L!
This was what I was blabbing about earlier... just to give you an idea. This will remain here until I get it right =P lol.
...just your standard molded, plastic, sterile, disposable 1-0.2 ml pipette tips, racked and ready to go...
White Birch (also known as Paper Birch, or Canoe Birch) are commonly found on the forest edge where they may be the most prominent trees, as they are here. Walk 100 feet into the wood and they are almost completely missing since they are shade intolerant. Iconic of the northern forest, they are the State Tree of New Hampshire and the Provincial Tree of Saskatchewan. I simply love them...and admit to occasionally talking to them. They are good listeners and don't blab, though they may shake their heads and whisper to one another..
i was listening to a program on alzheimers today and i got to thinking about ancestral memory and wondered if your dna can have alzheimers too. maybe the next generation will forget how to walk upright. actually, i don't think that's what ancestral memory means....i've been abusing the term for so long, i forget if i ever knew. anyway, this is sam in his barbaloot ears. his grade gave an astoundingly sweet performance of the lorax today in the gym. i cried! they put so much great effort into the art and costumes and dance and scenery. and at the end, they gave out a tiny sapling to every kid in the school! i'm kvelling here. go out and plant a tree (if the ground isn't rock hard) and don't forget to register to vote if you live in pennsylvania. sorry to blab.
Hey! Police Officers. There are human people partying over here.
Nobody likes a squealer. But these are scary times. The fes times recently that I have gone by schools have all the kids in fairly large groups hanging out. This worries me greatly.
I have nothing like an umbrella image for SoS. Just the way it is.
Hope it made you smile on Saturday anyways.

This past month was full of traveling for me, and I feel quite fortunate because I got to take pictures in places I don't usually have time to go!
This past weekend I went up to New York City for a few nights to visit my friend Katie.
I really love night shots, especially in large cities which never disappoint due to the plethora of culture colors and electric atmosphere!
Typically everyone goes to Times Square for pictures like this, but I decided I didn't want to and looked for something a little less photographed. I've always liked the radio city sign, for its contrasting blue and red-ish lights. There's not too much else to explain in this picture, so I'll stop blabbing and just let you enjoy!
Thanks for looking.
Explored! #65
I took this photo along with my other one but i didn't have time to take one today because my day was SO HECTIC
You don't even know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me break my day down for you:
I had to fit in: Going to the mall downtown, work and a birthday all in one day.
So i went to the mall with my friend Denize (which is like 40 minutes away by subway) (and managed to successfully injure her in the face with my earphone package LOL I love that girl)
So we were going to down to the subway, to go back home, at around 3 45 because i had work at 6 and i would get home at like 4 45 or something and i had to get ready etc etc (it was all planned out in my head as you can see) but OBVIOUSLY the subway would stop working at that exact time and she and i were stuck there.
I called my mom: "maaaaaaaaaam <:' 0 what do we do" and then we decided to go on the GO train and it was a wonderful experience :D
So instead of 4 45 we got home at 5 30 and i was like SHIT SON I G2G TO WORK
So i did. And i wasn't late :):)
It was weird. I never taught tennis to anyone before and i had to work with my arch nemesis -.- lolol
Then i went to my friends party which was SO fun kjdfngd I lol'd the whole time there. And i fattened up because it was at a buffet :)
ANYWAYS. I will stop blabbing and go read or do something productive :|
Have a good day/evening or what not!
The last time I saw a movie in theatres was in 2019. Knives Out. Great movie. Very enjoyable time. I think we went right around my birthday. That was over 5 years ago, though. It's not like we are engaging in a deliberate boycott or anything. Life just happened. We had our first child, then the pandemic hit, and now everything is on streaming and it is so much easier. When I was younger I used to go all the time. Many good memories. I expect that I'll make a return to the cinema sometime soon to see a kids movie.
Anyway, if you hadn't guessed yet, the reason I am blabbing on-and-on about the time I saw Knives Out in theatres in 2019 is because this photograph reminds me of a movie theatre. The silhouetted conifers are the audience and they are looking up at the big screen of colorful fall foliage on the hill.
Saturday I cycled 31km roundtrip to Michelle's Farm and back home.
This farm market is located at Sayward Rd. junction with the Lochside Trail
Ostensibly the ride was to checkout my bike's phone app connected to my DJI3 Osmo video camera
This time with camera mounted on my helmet bracket.
There seems to be some issue with the file format the DJI3 recorded in but we're sorting that now.
N.B. Somehow my DJI3 Osmo got switched from 1080p to 4k recording. Even at $178🇨🇦 dollars, Pinnacle Studio 26
WILL NOT process 4k files. Buyer beware! Their blab said it would handle 4k.
After a dreadfully cute and disastrous rabbit infestation on his carrot farm, Ol' Farmer Poggard and his sons picked up what they had left and relocated to another part of the avalonian countryside, a good 20 minutes on foot, and together constructed a wheat mill. Turns out that was teh most profitable thing that could have happened to them, they actually began making an income and the success of Poggards' wheat mill was incomparable to that of his carrot farm, because let's be honest, no one likes carrots.
CCCXII Medieval Husbandry
Ok yeah this is the real build I was going to post today, sorry for boring you with silly tablescrap thingies :p The blades of the windmill turn, and the tower itself can rotate, like they do in real life. I'd like to make a motorised one of these one day for a convention... was quite a rushed build as Im off on holiday now for the rest of the year, and just got back from another holiday before christmas, which isn't building time... enough blabbing, it was rushed but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Based of this garbage: www.flickr.com/photos/davidhensel/8124032793/, hehe and I made an effort not to look at Cesbricks' Mill that he posted the day after i started playing around with the mill idea XP
hope ye'all like it :)
David out!
