"Rapunzel, Rapunzel! Let down your hair."
A sorceress locks Rapunzel in a remote doorless tower. The only way to get into it is for Rapunzel to let down her long hair from the skylight when called, so that the enchantress can climb up it and provide her with food.
A king's son, attracted by Rapunzel's beautiful singing, overhears her, imitates the sorceress's calling formula ("Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let me down your hair!"), pulls himself up to the beautiful girl and wins her love. When Rapunzel then blabs to the enchantress, she cuts off her hair and banishes her to a desert. Then the sorceress hides in the tower, waits for the king's son, lets him climb up to her by Rapunzel's braid, and frightens and mocks the prince to such an extent that in his despair he jumps from the tower, injures both his eyes in a thorny bush and goes blind. Lamenting, he now wanders through the world, until by chance he reaches Rapunzel's whereabouts and recognizes the girl by her singing. When her tears wet his eyes, he is cured of his blindness and leads Rapunzel happily home to his kingdom.

Glen Helen is one of a series of eighteen Manx National Glens owned and maintained by the Forestry Amenity and Lands Directorate of the Isle of Man Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture. It contains two waterfalls and is the confluence of the Lambfell stream, Blaber River and the River Neb at the road-side entrance of the Glen Helen national glen.

Lincoln's New Salem State Historical Site
"Mentor Graham moved to this area in 1826 and built a brick house on his farm one mile west of here. He first taught school in a log church on the Felix Green farm. After New Salem was laid out in 1828, the growing community erected a round-log schoolhouse. Graham moved his school to the building. He ran a subscription school, charging from 30 cents to 85 cents per month depending on the age of the child. Commonly called a "blab" school, the students learned by repeating their lessons out loud over and over."

Callophrys rubi
Grönsnabbvinge är än så länge mer känd under det tidigare namnet björnbärssnabbvinge. Det är den fjäril som kläcks först av alla dagfjärilar, och den flyger från slutet av april till in i juni.
Den har brun översida och en karaktäristisk grönt, skimrande undersida, därav det nuvarande svenska namnet. Trots att det är en primör har den aldrig blivit riktigt populär som vårtecken, kanske beroende på att den är liten, snabb och därmed svår att få syn på.
Grönsnabbvingen är allmän och finns i hela landet utom i fjällkedjan. Den flyger i skogs- hag- och buskmarker, helst på solexponerade platser. Den är väl anpassad till kantzoner och smågläntor.
Larven lever på allehanda växter som blåbär, odon, lingon och tranbär, men lokalt även på kråkbär, brakved, solvändor, ljung, klockljung och hallon.

Mitt bidrag till veckans Fotosöndag med tema /My contribution to this week on Photosunday with theme /Frukt och Görnsaker/Fruits and Vegetables
It's that time again and the Crocuses are out. Our Jade plant lives in a pot and unlike flickr friend, Dave Nice's Jade, I have never seen one single insect on it. But a Crocus lives in the same pot so once a year, we get a nice variation to the theme.
It's been raining everywhere for what seems like ages. I know there is flooding, bad in parts of Eastern Australia but it's been pretty dry in SE Queensland and without the rain we have had lately, we were heading to water restrictions and perhaps, without the attendant La Niña wet weather pattern, more serious water shortages.
While I am blabbing on, we noticed over the south side on Wynnum Road which the Council widened last year, they have planted new beds of Crocuses along the road and they are thick with thousands of flowers. They have put them in a most difficult spot to photograph though. So this one in our yard will have to do. With its raindrops.

In next week's video, you'll get to see two wonders of the world.

I invited Colin up the mountain for the first time and he cemented his position on all future outings by bringing along a gadget called an Aero Press.
In addition to that, he pre-ground my favourite coffee from Kicking Horse and made the best alpine espresso I have ever tasted.
If only Aero Press and Kicking Horse would get their shit together and sponsor my videos!
I'd actually be happy to blab about their great products because I love em.
It beats the dead-eyed mumbling of the wonders of Square Space that I simply can't bring myself to do.

Not the two best names in the world... at all. But they're gradually begining to grown on me. I would change their names, but to be honest - I can't be bothered! ;) So maybe if you come back tomorrow I will have changed their names... but it's likely I won't bother! :) aaaaaaaaaanyway, yeah. So um... well it's not a fairy picture for once!!! :L :L

Oh yeah! Just though I'd add in case you didn't get this - these two are sisters, well actually they're twins but yeah.
Also, the hair is edited. The girl at the front and on the right - her hair was done entirely from scratch, but the one behind, I just added bits to a hair she already had. Hope you likee! Though I don't so faded them both a bit! XD Also gave quite a kwl effect tho I thought. =)
HAHA am v.bored so keep like adding to this description, but um just thought I'd say - mainly for Penny as I doubt anyone else is reading them - sorry for the wait for black dust! Haven't been on the sims in YONKS! I keep doing edits with old pics i have lying around. This one was done newly today tho *throws a party* yay, first day back on the sims! :) So hopefully I'll do some more to black dust soon! It's about 1/3 done *closes eyes and prays penny wont kill me!* but um yeah. It won't be very good tho. Hopefully it'll be better than the others tho as I think they gradually improve each time.
I have changed their names to Destiny and Ebony now. (was originaly Destiny and Dawn, but they sound a bit odd together I think...)
