Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête)
Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast
My interpretation of FlickrFridays theme "BeautyAndTheBeast"
I had seen a marvelous sunset and was about to trott my way over the hills, and there I saw them
They looked at me and cried for mom
I snapped some photos and ran
No Beast for my butt thank you
Belle can be.........brutally honest sometimes...........mean. LOL

Beauty and the beast was released on the 22nd of November 1991. But it feels like it came out yesterday because it's a timeless, non-dated Disney classic. Making it my favourite.
I used a bootleg hot toys body with silicone body suit and repaint the arms and the neck area to match the color with his head mold and got him a pair of yellow leather-like material gloves. I also tighten the shirt to accentuate his chest and to make the small waist illusion work better. Still need to find him an archery set and make a cape for him though. The ones used here are borrowed from Merida LOL.
A repainted and rerooted then restyled Dan Stevens who is the Beast aka the Prince in the live action Disney remake of Beauty and the Beast! This 1:6 scale Disney doll has been redone to capture the Prince as himself in the film.

Bees are beautiful and they are a critical part of helping the pollination of flowers, food plants,.... However their bite can cause deadly reactions in humans. Bees are both
Beauty and Beasts. And the Bee Balm flower? Pure beauty!

I've heard it said that we wouldn't really appreciate beauty were it not for ugliness. If that statement is true, then this shot is a perfect juxtaposition of both elements.
This is another stretch of Flagler Beach, where the "fence" they put up to warn people about the drop off from the road is really pretty ugly, and hopefully temporary. I suppose that will depend upon what kind of hurricane season we have this year.
Hwy A-1-A in Flagler Beach, along with Flagler's pier, has been notorious for collapsing down the dunes when the hurricanes hit! The water washes it out. When you hear about "storm surge", think of this image. This was pretty much high tide, and you can see how much distance the shoreline is from the road. Now, imagine the water washing OVER the road! Since Matthew in 2016, and Irma in 2017, the roadway was repaired, but the dunes still haven't been completely restored. I don't know what that would involve, or if that actually could be done.
To be honest, the road needs to be moved quite a few feet over, but that would require taking down most of the homes and small businesses that line the opposite side of the highway. It boggles my mind why they would put it so close to the dunes in the first place, or why they would erect homes so close that this eventuality couldn't be planned for, but they did. Short of putting in an enormous, artificial reef off the coast or something, I see no good outcome for the land, and quite a good one for the ocean! Meanwhile, it is still one of the prettiest coasts in Florida, even if you have to look over an ugly fence that looks like black trash bags!
