Today I‘ve re-edited one of my all time favourite shots. It was taken back in 2017 during a road trip from Vancouver to the Canadian Rockies.

Scanning for seals

Siting patiently while the crew takes their break, CN 2686 and 2225 sit tied down at the former BC Rail yard in Squamish, BC. The train arrived late and stayed late following some time consuming switching moves at the marine terminal in town. Situated next to the train in this photo is the former BC Rail passenger station, now utilized as a yard office.

Flowers, Moss, and soon to be flowers, with some lichen.

CN 527 has a long train and Dash9's in two paint schemes (BCOL 4649 & CN 2564) as it emerges from the Turcot interchange. The third car is a large boiler from Indeck in St-Hyacinthe.

On the way home from work, I noticed this CN train making a set-out (and crew change) in Duplainville with a BC Rail beauty on the point. I had to stop and try some shots. I didn't have a tripod, so I had to make do with what I had (the spare tire on the back of my truck). I love the array of lights on the front of the BC's.

Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site, on Fisgard Island at the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour in Colwood, British Columbia, is the site of Fisgard Lighthouse, the first lighthouse on the west coast of Canada.

Fisgard Lighthouse is about 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) by boat or 12.5 kilometres (7.8 miles) by car from downtown Victoria. Automated in 1929, the light shows a white isophase light of 2 second period in a sector from 322° to 195° at 21.6 metres (71 ft) above mean sea level, and in other directions it shows red shutters. The white 14.6-metre (48 ft) tower is floodlit below balcony level.

Nobody wants to see smoke from the California fires (or the fires themselves), but it can make for some interesting shots. Normally the smoke is not bad here, but this was taken on October 7th at Harrison Mills, and there was still a fair amount of smoke in areas.

Taken from Highstreet Mall, where the chilly wind was very strong so that my tripod could not be used and I have to hand hold my camera, Abbotsford, BC, Canada.

In Chicago they say that the renovated Soldier Field looks like a giant spaceship landed on the lakeshore. Well Chicago has nothing on Vancouver. Hey BC Place, Devils Tower is that way.
