While travelling through the Sinai desert on an admin trip the driver stopped at a little Bedouin camp for tea (no idea where as I was sleeping when we arrived).
This old man welcomed us and invited us into a small brick room for tea, the inside of which were swarming with hoards of flies and for this reason a fire was burning throughout the day which resulted in these awesome light rays through the smoke inside.
This is one of those instances where I REALLY regretted not having brought my DSLR (as it was an admin trip), and all I had with me was a Sony TX-9. A camera (could not be more 'point and shoot') which I purchased exclusively for its HD video. I've always hated the quality of it pictures (only jpegs) with no manual control...fine for snapshots but thats about it.
Have to say I was more than surprised when I managed to get this shot...the colour version of which looks almost as good:)
We were there for no more than 10 minutes so quite happy that I got this shot (along with some similar HD video).

When my grandfather was in basic training, several years before Vietnam, in order to reach the mess hall the recruits had to cross monkey bars, while an officer would look on. The pit below the monkey bars was muddy in the best of times, but right after it rained, if you fell, you would sink into the mud to your waist. This vignette shows several recruits crossing the monkey bars.
Not sure if she will stay but I had to see her in person <3
Awww she is only #5.... I had to know what she was like because I havent really seen Basic Penny around!

U.S. Air Force Airmen and Space Force Guardians basic military graduation and coining ceremony is held May 27, 2021, for the 322nd Training Squadron at the Pfingston Reception Center on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Due to current world events, the graduation ceremonies will be closed to the public until further notice for safety and security of the newly accessioned Airmen and their family members due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
his hair is kanekalon which i am not particularly liking. The rest of him is cute :3 but I think basic doll-wise, i like the GB version better. it's the hair x.x
it's been a while since i posted pictures of my barbie basics. although i love their faces i wasn't able to play with them because I prefer the articulated ones. Since the evolution of new DG, the older ones are being neglected in our dolly closet as well as the basics. So i finally decided to do what most fellow doll collectors do. with the help of my Dolly friend "the dulldoll" the girls has been transplanted on a DG/Fashionista body. This is a basic, but effective setup that I use for a lot of my photos taken with a strobe/natural light combination. I set my strobe behind my subject to give a good rim and hair light :).
