Based on the Russian concept of launching a miniature shuttle from the back of the Antonov. This was eventually built in real-life but unfortunately the external tank was damaged in a move and beyond repair or rebuild.

The base was originally built via contract awarded December 5, 1933; most of the buildings were complete by late 1934. Captain Howard B. Nurse, Construction Quartermaster, supervised the design and construction. He departed from traditional base design by rendering the buildings in the Spanish Eclectic (Spanish Revival) style then popular in California. Churrigueresque elements adorn the more important buildings. Reinforced concrete walls were covered in stucco to appear similar to earlier California missions; mission tile roofs topped the buildings. Recessed porches, cantilevered balconies, polychrome tile bands and wrought iron grillework complement the designs.

Today I can present you my newest creation: A Base on Rodia.
This time I really tried to make the base looking good in a architectural way, too.
Also I tried to improve my rockwork and my trees with new techniques.

Based Class 37 37075 is pictured at Oxenhope during the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Diesel Gala on June 24th 2023.

In the distance on the left is Fanum House which is the headquarters of the Automobile Association in Basingstoke. It is one of several current and former AA buildings named "Fanum House" around the country. The original headquarters in Leicester Square, London, was also called Fanum House, "Fanum" being the call sign of the AA.
Closer and to the right of Fanum House is Viewpoint, and closer and to the right of that is The Square.
The building in the foreground has since been demolished and is being replaced.

This is a picture of the wood base. Well more like plastic base. XD The details on it are very nice. If the string weren't so wire like maybe i could tune it? I am not going to try because I don't want to break it. XD

An Imperial base on an icy world. Maybe Hoth?
I used the Carbon Freezing Chamber playset here, it seems to have a lot of detractors saying it's a stairway to nowhere, it's too flimsy, etc. but if you're into toy photography therein lies the challenge.
And for me personally, I also set a goal to do something other than recreate the scene from the movie.
So I combined it with the Cave pop-up from Extreme Sets for a new look, and in my opinion it's a worthwhile set. The translucent orange plastic piece under the stairs and platform is pretty awesome to light up, and it's relatively easy to break the entire thing down again and pack it up.
