Sure, it is still possible to get an Illinois Central engine to lead the Canadian National M337-91 road job. But two of them? In 2022?

Let's throw in some telegraph poles, make this a monochrome, and the only reason why you could say this occurred recently was because of the lack of the grainy film look. Otherwise, Huey Lewis and the News' "Back in Time" was playing on the radio, and "Back To The Future" was playing on the big screens when these engines came out...and I thought it was appropriate for the theme here.

This was taken 1 mile west of Seward, IL. Unfortunately, M338 with a burned BNSF GE engine blocked the view of this as 337 took the siding in Seward, which would have ruined the depot shot. In retrospect, I might have gotten the shot. But that would require me to go back in time...

This old Cinema resides in the small town of Foley, MN. Of course the movies the are playing are obviously new lol. Though I wish I could see classic in this type of theater.

A regular annual event for my husband and I to visit is the Goodwood Revival.

Ticket holders are encouraged to wear vintage clothing (original or reproduction) from the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's.

It is like stepping back in time as the whole site is vintage themed and the racing features vintage cars and motorcycles.

I took this photo in the ladies hairdressing salon. I saw these two ladies through the doorway, sitting under the hairdryers, with their magazines 'putting the world to rights'

This photograph was taken in a colonial street in Trinidad, Cuba which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. Trinidad is in the province of Sancti Spíritus in central Cuba. Riding on horseback is a normal means of transport in this and many other areas in Cuba, it makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.

This quiet, country lane, with barely any traffic during the couple of hours I was around this spot, brought back good memories of my childhood :-)

Seen on our run out this afternoon in the van..

Near High Bradfield in Sheffield..

I was lamenting how I would contend with rain and darkness to photograph something somebody had forgotten for today's theme. I had essentially given up and I decided to clean up/clear out the accumulated debris from doing a couple of years of still lifes.

Under the mass of rubbish was a peanut can and inside the greasy can I found a potato eeking out life in the darkness. I had last seen this potato on April 1, 2017 when I photographed it. I had dropped it into the can after I was done and moved it to the side. Over time the can became engulfed in the flotsam of regular still life shooting.

Yet the spud was determined to live. In darkness. without light. Through the bitter cold of the studio in winter. Forgotten. I was amazed at the spunky spud.

So after I photographed it one more time, I put it in a clay pot with topsoil. and I placed it in the window to greet the morning sun. To be continued........

Bryant Park in New York hosts an annual Winter Village including shops and ice skating rink where there is an amazing festive spirit. At the center of the village stands a Norway spruce Christmas tree which is 50 feet tall, decorated with 30,000 red, white and blue lights along with an impressive 3,500 icicles, snowflakes and starburst ornaments.
