I fell into designing these abstract backgrounds completely by accident and it was suggested I continue doing these as there is a now a demand from scrapbooking hobbyists, and cardmakers whether they be amateur, semi-professional or full blown business. I am now in the process of uploading these to Flickr, but please be aware. THESE IMAGES ARE NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN, they belong to me and can only be used by you or anyone else after mutual agreement.

To all my photographer friends, I realize that this is an odd composition and that the background is out of focus, but I was going after the texture on the snow field. Although this failed miserably. I still felt that the photo had a charm of it's own and decided to leave it in the set.
This is part of a series of photos taken of what's left of the farm that my wife grew up on in Zeeland, Michigan. The barn and chicken coop remain, but the fields are gone and what remains is surrounded by housing developments, strip malls, factories and schools.

Original photograph used for making the Dark Butterfly image. Lilly's on a piece of drift wood in the dark with a flashlight placed behind them for the glow and shadows. Just a photograph before enhancements or changes.
Just thought I'll show you a new background image I created for a new part of my site, which should be upload soon.

It's Venus impersonating Dubstep artist Skrillex!
Her sidecut hairstyle reminded me of him and since I had a Barbie turntable I thought it would be cool to take a DJ themed photo.
The background is a computer screen and it's supposed to meme those big screens DJs and electronic artists have in their shows.
Photo named after this Skrillex Song.
Want more Skrillex? Here's another video.
Oh, another one of those stitched panorama macro shots where the subject is to large to fit in frame, right?
Wrong. This blunt stretch spider (Tetragnatha obtusa) is absolutely small enough to fit in frame (as can be seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52807137438/), but since the top and bottom was just pure white, I figured I could get away with cropping that away and make this a 21:9 image.
And the trickery doesn't stop there. This is also rotated 180 degrees as I found this one upside-down in the veranda ceiling so I had to get a stool (which was a little too high) and shoot this with the camera upside down, pressing the shutter button with my left pinky finger (my mom took a photo of me looking very elegant here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/52806686381/).
This is a focus stack, but instead of just taking multiple shots while moving or shifting focus ever so slightly, here I actually lowered the camera and rested between two shots because of the awkward position and still somehow managed to get the exact same angle and focus where it was needed - I'm as surprised as anyone!
Looking closely at this spider, you can see what will be its doom. On the back of it, there is a larvae of the parasitic wasp Acrodactyla quadrisculpta which has attached itself and will eat of the spider - but not enough to kill it until the larvae is ready to pupate.
"Jubilee" class no 45699 "Galatea" races south through the western lakes. Sca Fell, Bow Fell and Seatallan i think are amongst the hills in the background.
Here's what I would look like if I were on the Simpsons. Pretty scary because it's accurate. Imagine that Scratchy is Rosa. Then imagine some pee on the ground right next to her.
First thing you might of noticed was a fantastic maze that was hand drawn on the beach using a stick and a water bottle as a
measuring tool.
The rest is the "Strand" beach in Morro Bay, ca. on a September evening.
