I thought I would make this available as a desktop background for anyone interested. So far this has been one of my favorite sketches.
Every year during Dec/Jan I definitely try to do a juicing photo session because of the abundant fresh fruits and vegetables which is available only in winter here. I somehow missed editing these images from last year. And I am just not clicking anything with food these days, so i started uploading some snaps from last years. Hope you like this background.

In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia who was known for his beauty.
He was proud, in that he disdained those who loved him.
Nemesis noticed this behaviour and attracted Narcissus to a pool, where he saw his own reflection in the water and fell in love with it, not realising it was merely an image.
Unable to leave the beauty of his reflection, Narcissus lost his will to live.
He stared at his reflection until he died.
Narcissus is the origin of the term narcissism, a fixation with oneself and one's physical appearance or public perception.
This one here, with its salmon trumpet, is a fragrant variety.
I (maybe wrongly) make a distinction, based on that fact, between Daffodils and Narcissus...
THANK you for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated.
Have a wonderful day, filled with love, M, (*_*)

The little birds in light boxes in the background are a work of art by British artist Julian Opie. Galleri F15, Jeløya, Moss, Norway.
This reminds me a little bit of what my native Wythenshawe Civic Centre used to look like back in the 1980s and early 1990s...especially the multi-storey car park in the background.

The back drop is 7 feet across. From the back drop to the front of the table is 8 feet. The camera was three feet in front of the table and then I was behind the camera.....WOW I was just about to run out of space.
At the right are some of the best known surrealists from top: André Breton, Paul Éluard, René Magritte, Man Ray, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst and Yves Tanguy.

One flower in the bouquet just 'went', it bowed and drooped, aaa, looking so sad, but so is life, happy moments and sad moments...
Gerbera is a genus of ornamental plants from the sunflower family.
It was named in honour of the German naturalist Traugott Gerber.
It has approximately 30 species in the wild, extending to South America, Africa and tropical Asia.
Colours include white, yellow, orange, red, and pink.
It is the fifth most used cut flower in the world (after rose, carnation, chrysanthemum, and tulip).
I love 'creating' and playing with light in the studio, comp in camera, gives me a real 'PHOTOGRAPHY' buzz, lol, M, (*_*)

Dialing in the background lighting, decided fill flash was a better option than using a flash lite. Happy with my first week progress with a few nice images to show for it.
I can always count on these little song sparrows to provide a musical background for our walks in the woods.
Taken during sunrise at Krakal beach. This image blended of 2 bracketing shots by using Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop, foreground (sea) was shot with speed 8secs and background (sky) was 2.5secs, both f/13 and ISO 100.
Enjoy the picture,

This is a tight frame of the amazing exterior of the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum in Seattle, WA. If this looks familiar, a similar image was part of the standard Windows 7 desktop backgrounds. I had quite the ah-ha moment when I realized that.
When world-renowned architect Frank O. Gehry designed EMP, he was inspired to create a structure that evoked the rock 'n' roll experience without being too literal. He purchased several electric guitars, sliced them into pieces, and used them as structural elements for an early model design. Visitors can still see the influence of the instrument in the museum's wildly undulating, brightly colored facade.
