R B Ricketts Falls in Ricketts Glen State Park, PA.
Back at RGSP after 6 years and this time in the fall - it was fall imagery by Brian Morganti that first introduced me to RGSP and I've wanted to make the trip ever since. Timing was probably a little late for the falls higher up in the gorges, but perfect for the lower ones.
This B-52E aircraft was used by General Electric in the 1960's to test their TF-39 engine and was disposed of in the desert after the tests.
Fast forward nearly 30 years later to 1991 when the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) was signed and 350 nuclear bombers were being destroyed as part of the agreement. The Russians saw this bomber on aerial footage and soon after, the US destroyed the aircraft by placing explosives in the fuselage.

Was going through some old files on an external hard drive and found this goody. B&H 422 did a couple of stints on the LA&L and here is a pic of it leading as the LA&L works Matthews and Fields Lumber in Henrietta, NY at dusk on December 28, 2009. This trackage is part of the ex Lehigh Valley Rochester Branch.
I think I will continue with a Borg theme this week. I have taken plenty of pics of them over the years. Here the GW-1 loaded salt train heads North on the ex DL&W main, passing the pond at the Seneca Foods processing plant on the North side of Mount Morris, NY on July 7, 2010. The brush is too tall now to attempt this shot any more.
Hanging out at mom's house with dad, Jake and Andrea. Took a trip back to Arizona to help Andrea move to Austin.
Made a B/W version to order a print of.. woo.
Bethany got Trudy and I all set up with our first smart phones a week ago. She had to give us lessons on how to use them. I can only do the basics like calling, texting, and getting on a couple internet sites. This morning when I got out of church I could hear the whine of EMD's over by the salt mine. I went over and found the GW1 getting ready to depart with the loaded train, with B&P flare 462 leading. I tried a couple pics with the smart phone and like the results. GW1 at Groveland, NY on November 18, 2018.
