L'Axe majeur est une œuvre monumentale située à Cergy, dans le département du Val-d'Oise, en France. L’œuvre s'inscrit dans une boucle de l'Oise, au centre de la ville nouvelle de Cergy-Pontoise. Elle est conçue par le sculpteur israélien Dani Karavan à partir de 1980. L'Axe est composé de douze stations sur une longueur de 3,2 kilomètres, incluant une tour penchée, un ensemble de douze colonnes, une passerelle, une île ou encore un rayon laser qui survole le parcours. The Green Bridge of Wales is always striking from wherever you view it. I need to go there on a really wild day. More Axe is a song by Bob Marley & the Wailers, and I thought this angle makes it look vaguely axe shaped.

Had no idea how to smuggle Legoes in the handmade theme, so here's a Lego-sized axe I've shown before.
Realized much too late that I could have used the words "die komplette Montagetechnik" to get the word Montag (Monday) in better view, but as it was a stormy, cloudy day, I had maybe a quarter of an hour to have any idea and shoot it with decent light.

Recently one of my friends made a joke, saying that I am The River Thames' personal photographer. Basically he was eluding to the fact that the vast majority of my snaps include the Thames... and upon further inspection by myself, I realised this is true! So, for a change here is a London Scene without the Thames. In view is St Mary Axe (or the Gerkin) and some London buses zooming by on their daily business of picking people up.
I went for sunset and happy I did. Although you can't see much of the sunset (at least not as much as you would near the river), the sky was a gentle orange and pink hue. It was a freezing evening. But happy I ventured out :)
