"Axel Gustafsson Oxenstierna af Södermöre (Swedish: [ˈaksɛl ²ʊksɛnˌɧæːɳa] (About this sound listen); 1583–1654), Count of Södermöre, was a Swedish statesman.[1] He became a member of the Swedish Privy Council in 1609 and served as Lord High Chancellor of Sweden from 1612 until his death. He was a confidant of first Gustavus Adolphus and then Queen Christina.[2]
Oxenstierna is widely considered one of the most influential people in Swedish history. He played an important role during the Thirty Years' War and was appointed Governor-General of occupied Prussia; he is also credited for having laid the foundations of the modern central administrative structure of the State, including the creation of counties." My first ever Axel! This was the car that went on to become the infamous Oltcit. This one is clearly neglected but it's still registered. I love the single windscreen wiper.
Dubbed the Promised Land by a mountain bike film crew, this glacier carved valley on Axel Heiberg Island in Canada's high arctic was at one point covered in rainforest. Now this barren place is covered in fossils and Musk Ox.
The Axel is a rebadged Rumanian 1981-1996 Oltcit Club hatchback. This was the result of a cooperation project between Citroën S.A. and the Rumanian government.
The Axel looks very similar to the Visa, although very little parts are exchangeable.
