First Manchester Limited 60222 S560 JSE, a Scania L94UB built 1998 with a Wright Axcess-Floline B40F body turns from Haymarket Street in Bury onto Angouleme Way with a diverted Bury Interchange to Bolton bus station via Radcliffe and Little Lever 524 service. Friday 30th September 2011
Note, S560 JSE was originally operated by First Aberdeen Limited as number 560 and was transferred to First Manchester Limited in June 2001 as number 178, being renumbered 60222 in the FirstGroup plc’s national numbering scheme introduced in late 2002. It was transferred to First PMT Limited as number 60222 in the mid 2000s, First PMT Limited being renamed First Potteries Limited on 15th May 2007. First Potteries Limited’s Birkenhead, Chester and Wrexham depot operations, including S560 JSE were transferred to First Manchester Limited on 27th March 2011
The service was diverted from Haymarket Street via Angouleme Way to Manchester Road due to road repairs closing Knowsley Street to outbound traffic

In 1998 nine Scanias with Wright Axcess ultralow bodies became the first Barbie buses to operate in The Potteries. New to First PMT all were placed on service 6 Kidsgrove-Meir Park, passing through the main Pottery towns. Originally given Crosville-style fleet numbers SSS813-21 (S813-21AEH), these became 60055-63. All nine are still allocated to First Potteries, but now appear on other services, besides 6. 60059 (S817AEH) is here operating 6A to Blythe Bridge, and is decending Lichfield Street, out of Hanley, on 25 March 2010.

The movement of First vehicles through Eastleigh railway works continues and I can not hope to record it all. I hope that my photographs can be viewed along with those of the others who are able to record these activities. On Boxing Day 2013, nine old vehicles were present of which six had their rear advertising removed. This is Wright Axcess Floline bodied Scania L94UB 60219/T565BSS.

With the transfer of route X11 from Bradford to Bramley, First West Yorkshire Scania's have returned to the streets of Bradford for the first time in well over a year.

First Huddersfield Wright Axcess Ultralow bodied Scania L113CRL 8433, P 433 YSH is pictured at a rally in Heaton Park, Manchester. This bus was new to Rider (York) and was later renumbered 61053 and transferred to First Scotland East.

Former First Eastern Counties Scania L113CRL 62117 was transferred to Yorkshire in April 2003 and is still going strong today. Pictured on the Headrow whilst operating First Leeds route 55 to Moor Allerton, this vehicle carries Wright Axcess Ultralow bodywork.

Note, M113 SLS was first registered in February 1995 and originally operated as a demonstrator by Scania. It was acquired by Nottingham City Transport Limited as number 520 in October 1995 and acquired by A. Mayne & Son Limited as number 37 in November 2005. A. Mayne & Son Limited was purchased by Stagecoach Bus Holdings Limited on 22nd January 2008, M113 SLS being renumbered 28970. A. Mayne & Son Limited’s trade and assets were transferred to Greater Manchester Buses South Limited on 10th February 2008. A. Mayne & Son Limited was renamed as Greater Manchester Buses East Limited on 18th February 2008. M113 SLS was acquired by Centrebus Limited as number 713 in 2008 and transferred to Centrebus North Limited as number 713
